not annoyed what so ever oda gave us some bread crumbs and its enough for me for now,its funny that we get this and saint saturn is otw to egg head plus at the end oda says even zoro is not aware of this very strange fate tale. Maybe this is hopium but feels pretty certain that at some point oda will indeed cover all this.

I will just repeat what I say in another thread.
-With SBS information on Zoro's lineage revealed we now know that Zoro isn't a clone nor a transmigrant. 10/10 win for us.
-He is at best a very distant or direct descendant of Shimotsuki Ryuma that lived 400 years ago. His parents and grandparent until proven otherwise were pretty much fodders.
- Zoro is still related to Ryuma enough for Ryuma to be relevant as his ancestor Benchmark but at the same time, they are so distant through many generations that his great-mother at best had a drop of blood in her, his dad a half Shimotsuki, and mother from a three and unknown family.
-Zoro didn't inherit anything from his family other than their passion for swordsmanship and the fact that he shares the same will as Shimotsuki Ryuma the will to be the strongest.
- This is Roronoa Zoro's first coming because he didn't exist until now and he is building his Roronoa lineage by himself. By the end of One Piece the name Roronoa will be even more famous than Shimotsuki and many Ds only behind that of Nika himself.
Roronoa Zoro also proved his potential was even greater than ryuma by beating him back in triller bark and receive shisui as trothy.
Zoro is that Guy who can fight yonkos, admirals, WG, hunt pirates all without a devil fruit, a special race ability like lunarian nor science power. just with his willpower and hardwork.

The only thing that annoyed me is that these come from a sbs not main story but the reason is that the only important thing of zoro backstory is kuina koushirou the kids from the dojo and the blacksmith not his parents or family tree

People are annoyed because Oda didnt want to spend any manga panels to give us this info. This is a 1000+ chapter manga with hundreds of useless panels and useless characters. Oda could spare a few panels to explain Zoro's lineage. Oda doesnt know where his priorities should be, this has been happening for years now. Kaido getting a 3 page backstory was a red flag.
This character has existed in his creator’s story for 25 entire real-life years and the most development he’s ever gotten occurred just now in an “Ask the author” comment section rather than in the canon…not only is it comically shitty writing, it’s an absolute travesty for anyone in OP but especially the deuteragonist

why dont we know sanji and namis grandparents and uncles and shit. why does this matter to anyone lol. we already knew he was descended from shimotsukis and ryuma. i guess directly saying it is something ppl wanted but its not really important to his character as much as youre making it out to be, and its also more than any other character in the entire series has gotten
I can’t believe how far people here are bending to not acknowledge the obvious…Zoro’s characterization in the story has been fully static since his introduction - the cocksure, short-fused combatant who would do anything for the ones he cares about - so any further information about his family or where they came from IS character development in lieu of ANY personal progress in the canon. Like the guy or not, I just wish these disingenuous dickheads would understand already.
