General & Others Why Shanks has highest bounty for his age among Yonko

Nothing new in Shanks' character. The usual MC's childhood hero. Same with Gildarts, same with Iruka, same with Teon Ma, etc etc.
As generally agreed above, Shanks will only be more interesting after it's fully revealed that he's a wolf in sleep clothing, and that he secretly works for the Gorosei.
As Luffy does more adventure, sees the world more, he now realizes world is not as perfect as he used to think in childhood. And so is his childhood hero.
You guys should thank Oda though @Red Admiral
For turning Shanks into more important character in the future, than the currently cliche childhood hero, that even Mihawk lost interest already (symbolizing how readers also lost interest in him after time).

its not. but neither is this a good point in favor for Shanks.
Blackbeard is interesting and we know very little. Dragon is, and we hardly know anything except thast hes directly challenging the WG.
if Shanks remains a "good guy" then he is better off off-paneled.

A better way to phrase it would be - you literally cannot be interesting if there is nothing to be interested in.
Why is Shanks interesting? Because we know nothing about him? That’s not Shanks being interesting, that’s you being curious for a lack of information lol.
Bet money right now-as soon as Shanks’ role in the plot is revealed, a significant portion of the fan base will lose interest in him. I guarantee it. The only thing interesting about Shanks right now is the fact that we know nothing about him. That’s literally it.
So by definition, the more that is revealed about him, the less interesting he’ll become.
UNLESS Oda makes him a villain. In which case all Oda will have done is mooch off of Hawks from MHA (even though Oda’s entire career so far is just him mooching off of and borderline plagiarizing better writers lol.)

Well it seems this discussion has shifted to Shanks being boring. I don't see how that is possible. Every time he shows up, intrigue skyrockets.

And he's pretty interesting and shrouded in mystery. For some reason been a pirate on Roger's ship as a child already. Has no devil fruit and managed to become a Yonko without an arm.

Mihawk does not possess Shanks' influence but he is freakishly powerful, probably enough to kill all the Gorosei at the same time, unlike many other top tiers
In WB and Kaidou's case, their influence mainly stems from their strength though. Kaidou's name flexed by Orochi even to WG, and Sengoku and Marines himself fully aware when the world's strongest man began to attack Marineford, while the subordinates always get secondary attention. So i don't see why must Shanks has that kind of influence if he's not primarily strong himself to cause that influence, before other factors.
