When did mihawk become the strongest, he is the guy that had so much power he became the lackey of the government
All you need to do is read the Vivre Card. He accepted being a Shichibukai because he no longer had worthy duels and the navy kept bothering him. Then he had peace.

It's like an anthill attacking you, they don't present any real danger, you go there and start crushing the ants, but there are so many that at some point you get tired and angry, even though they don't offer real danger.

He no longer had any worthy sword fight, yet he did not want to fight shanks or any other top tier

Be a hype tool for SSG/Admirals and then join Shank's crew for protection

That's it
I'd love if Hawk-Boi will have a fight with a monster like Fujitora and, just when he'll be about to have the upper hand and to defeat him, the SSG will step in, making him choose to leave the battlefield.

It would be nice also an intervention of his friend and the Red Hair pirates, aimed at his rescue and recruitment as a special guest.
Shanks is the best in stopping conflicts, after all

Let the man at least become active in the actual story. It's too soon to be shitting on him.
It's too early to be shitting on any of them. It's the whole point I've been making about Mihawk and Shanks. We have people taking 1 title and using it as the basis to say anything more than what it means. Yes Mihawk is the World's Strongest Swordsman. But Shanks was never confirmed to lose to Mihawk. Just that they dueled.

Shanks was never confirmed to even aspire to be the WSS. Hell outside of the Yonko, the dudes actual motivations are a complete mystery to this day. This is why people need to wait. This ks the same guy with all the big measured feats and moments with haki/conquerors/you name it, while Mihawk gets made out to be far less relevant this way.

And that's not me saying anything about Mihawk, that's just me calling it like it is. And fact is, nowhere in canon does it state that Shanks tried to be the WSS or isn't at least equal to Mihawk.

If Kaido can be equal to BM and still the WSC, then what I'm talking about is an actual example in this manga. Not one person can say Big Mom has lost to Kaido. Not one person can say Big Mom "wanted" to be the WSC lol.

That's the question tho
If he does end up playing any actual role in the story what will it be? Besides the whole "losing to zoro separate from everything else" idea
I personally think he heavily plays a role with Shanks and his side after they ally. Whatever that goal is for Shanks. In the end, the ulterior motive is to fight Zoro, but his presence and what he does during the final war will have importance. I do not shit on Mihawk, I just don't want him to be a shell of a character only meant to lose to Zoro.
