General & Others With last chapter, can we say Blackbeard is final villain ?

I'm having a hard time predicting the timeline.
The Giants of Elbaf just make it all worse.
They are too powerful looking at what they are doing to a fleet a lot bigger than the fearsome Buster Call.
It would be logical to gather them as allies before moving onto WG but they would wreck 90% of their forces effortlessly.

On the other hand, they could end up neutralized by CoC's crowd control just like Fishmen were in FMI arc...
I agree that nothing seems fixed, visiting Mariejois isnt really a must, PK final fight might not be at Laugh Tale and so on.

I expect two Battle Royale scenarios, one in the fight vs WG, all factions gathering, just like in Marineford.
The other would be to determine who claims the ultimate treasure and I cant really pinpoint where that should play out.
Akainu could fit into Elbaf, paralleling Surtur but no way he gets there alone but pulls a bigger force than Egghead because we saw what happens against Giants even with a force such as the one surrounding Egghead... I am talking at least all of the Admirals coming with him.

On the other hand, Elbaf by itself is huge even if we leave all outside forced out. It is the island with 2nd most build-up in the story, second only to Laugh Tale. The never-ending war, the Vikings that inspired the whole story, possible huge Joyboy lore considering the large straw hat in MJ... Considering their lifespan, their memory of the Void Century is the freshest.
It is certainly a bigger mess than we expect...
Sometimes Nik you and I think completely alike its hilarious lol. I could definitely see Akainu truly being the next big thing escalating from Egghead, provided this it is some full scale war involving the entire Marine force. Maybe we get the Revolutionaries too so it capitalizes on the hypothetical Dragon/Akainu relationship (plus payoff for Dragon/Vegapunk/Kuma if they also come to Elbaf). Maybe some Blackbeard/Kuzan/Garp payoff and we get some of that with Dragon and Akainu for obvious reasons.

On top of this, if the endgame really is in LT and not Mariejoa, then having the Revolutionaries be near the end of New World does wonders geographically. But yeah man Im right there with you on the concern about how Oda will go about even resolving it all.

No, but this is Teach's next objective in his scheme. He stole Law's rubbings, is the second character to bring up the burned scar man and stole Pudding.

He is going to Laughtale, or whatever arc precedes it. And that means he's going to be fighting Luffy.
And again, BB is literally the only credible contender.

Who will antagonize Luffy for the race to PK? Law? Kidd :rolaugh:?

That aside form everything else, aside from WB, Roger an Teach's own words.
We still have Shanks who is apart of the equation for contender for the Pirate King. And Luffy gathering a crew greater than Shanks, was his entire motivation for becoming a Pirate. These two are going to fight. It was the promise that has driven Luffy his entire life. It's inevitable.

And that makes for a more fulfilling fight for Laughtale. Roger's former apprentice who Roger chose to succeed him, vs the man recognized as Roger's parallel.

Teach and Shanks are fated to fight, and Teach cannot beat an enemy that Luffy had already beaten because then it would be worthless.

The promise was to become a Great pirate and return the hat, not to beat Shanks.

However, Shanks has a literal obsession with Teach, searched for him even after Wano and is bound to him by a scar, a symbolic thing in OP:

Luffy told Shanks he would gather a crew greater than his. How do you think Luffy is going to prove that?

People think because Luffy and Shanks have a friendly relationship, that is supposed to somehow mean they're not going to fight. Roger and Whitebeard were good friends. It didn't stop them from fighting. Shanks and Mihawk are friends. They've fought countless times in the past.

Luffy is meant to return the Straw Hat to Shanks, but Luffy losing the Straw Hat would create a huge hollowness in the story, because that is apart of who he is. The most logical scenario for Luffy to keep the hat, is to beat Shanks, and Shanks giving it to him permanently as recognizing him as Roger's true successor.

Iirc he and shanks are missing one of the rps the other has

Luffy has zou wci wano

Shanks took kidds which was wci wano

Bb took laws which was zou and wanos

So you can do shanks vs Teach to get the winner on 3 and luffy bb for the 4th

In my opinion Teach and Luffy will tag team against IMU for different reasons and than clash

The only thing confirmed until now is that Shanks D Rat will really have a harder time if he ever encounters Blackbeard.

Luffy might not be able to return the strawhat

Becoming PK
Having the WSS
Having the best doctor in the world

Etc.

But even this is incomplete, because yeah, their achievements will prove them superior (not just or the RHP, but to anyone really), however, they will also defeat the BB pirates who at that time will have beaten the RHP. In other words, they'll defeat the ones that defeated the RHP, thus proving their great superiority.

The reason I think that is not because they are friends. The reason I think that is what I told you before: because Shanks and Teach are fated to fight, we have a million hints scar included, and Teach beating an opponent Luffy has already beaten would be worthless.

No, you can’t compare Luffy and Shanks to the likes of Whitebeard-Roger and Mihawk-Shanks, who are in fact friendly rivals.

Luffy is not going to ever attack the man who gave his arm to save his life.

He will easily prove his crew surpassed the RHP by actually becoming pirate king and attaining One Piece.

Main thing is who is going to be the bigger villain. Imu/WG or BBPs. BBPs can be the FV and WG still can be argued as main villains of EOS one piece.

BB can get all the ancient weapons + seraphims + power to be a threat to entire world but it still does not have the weight WG has as they have dominated and done bad things for centuries.

WG/Imu simply fits more as main villain imo.
