The reason I am saying it because I know people first hand, who live in 3rd world country and have earned in their lifetime more than a million euros and it is not enough for what most of people here consider a life without having to ever work...
They are not wasting money, cheap car, an average apartment and it's certainly not a comfortable amount of money to spend a life with.

It may look nice the moment you get it but once you start spending and realize you burned through half of it within 20 years and realize that you have more than 20 years of life left... Most of people here are around their 20s and sure, they may be able to pay bills for rest of their lives but it has to be a minimalistic way of life and you know how kids are today - new phones, tvs, pcs and what not every couple of years, vacations... Yeah... Good luck covering all that with a million for the next 60 years...
Why would they completely stop working once they get a huge amount, lets say, through inheritance or through a lottery? Life without any work might not be as fun as people think. That being said, there should be no question that a million dollar makes anybody's life easier. Most people will never be worth a mil. Think of it this way, its very difficult to save even 1000 EUR per month for any average person in Europe. For me, there should be no question when choosing between 1 mil or reading One Piece.

lol make your mind up
Oh my mind is made up; Everything has its price. The question is why you ask that shit ?

I can't outright give an answer. It needs a proper thought, however again everything has a price. Depending on circumstances the price changes as well. Does it make it in public or not? If yes, then the price would be higher to deal with the extra humiliation .

Because that was the general idea behind it - not to work anymore, at least from what I saw...
And I agree completely, it certainly isnt fun at all without work.
Certainly, it makes the easier but if you already have a decent job, it isnt game-changing. Depends on the individual appetite.

It comes down to the perspective and goals, you can argue that 1mil is both a high and low amount of money.
If I were offered 1mil, I guess I would accept it but tbh, I wouldnt really know what to do with it.
None of my life goals can be achieved with it so +/- 1mil isnt really changing anything for me.
