Character Discussion Would you mind if Zoro got CoC?

:josad:Oda hypes enma
Zoro says he will be much stronger with it
Which means much stronger than he was with shishui

"But black blade shishui is more powerful, it is zoro himself who will grow stronger by his own skill not because of mastering enma "
@Zenos7
Name a high tier who unlocked haki for the f
this is not you providing evidence for your assertion that no one unlocks it when he is already a high tier. also not sure why you adressing me with the rest here

At this point, it wouldn’t bother me since guys like Chinjao or Katakuri have it. It stopped making sense for Zoro to not have it when we found out Rayleigh has it.

Could you tell me how Enma is better than Shusui. Shusui was already blackened by Ryuma making it better than Enma. We do know he could do it without Enma because Shusui is a better sword
No it’s not, they’re equally powerful since they’re both Great Blades. But Enma is originally the better sword because it’s naturally a Great Blade and turning it into a Kokuto will make it a Supreme Blade.

Zoro is the farthest from a "Normal Guy" by One Piece standards.... Normal people can't lift boulders, let alone when they are 8, or do upside down thumb pushups with 1 ton weights on both sides. He was definitely born abnormally strong.

That being said, it wouldn't bother me either way if he got CoC or not, but I am more inclined to believe it is bound to happen sooner or later. The biggest named players in the World have it, and Zoro will need to get it eventually as well if he is to make it to that plateau.

This has always been my line of thinking:

If it’s a one-in-a-million ability, it just feels cheap if several others in that excluded 999,999 suddenly unlock the skill. Zoro having it makes sense with his character, but isn’t it much more badass for him to intimidate powerful opponents by reputation and killing intent instead??
One in a million in a World that has billions of people leaves some wiggle room for a dozen or two or three or four people to have the ability and it still be absurdly rare.

Mathematically speaking, if the One Piece World's population rivals our own, that means that roughly 7600 people are born with Conquerors Haki. Whether or not they eventually unlock it, is a different story.

By that logic, every single character we’ve seen in the series could theoretically have AND utilize it. Y’all seem to keep forgetting that 99 percent of the OP world doesn’t matter in the story; of the characters that DO matter, a ton of them having CoC dilutes the waters even if nobody outside of them gets it. The one-in-a-million thing starts to feel less exciting the more “ones” we meet, diminishing returns absolutely apply here.

I think those who doesn't want Sanji having no CoC doesn't want Zoro to have it... Most Sanji fans doesn't want him to be "left behind"...
And I still don't get the meaning lying behind such obsession. Sanji himself doesn't care about standing at the top power levels wise, it's not his main objective at all or even remotely close. :) he gets somewhat stronger in order to protect the ones he loves, but Zoro on the other hand, he trains like a pack animal and is obsessed by strenght.

I think we’ve gotten a little too hung up on the “one-in-a-million” thing as a justification for giving it to certain characters...that really only matters if we’re getting an idea of how strong the other 999,999 people who DON’T have CoC are. Those numbers have more of an impact in the actual OP world, not ours; we’re not seeing one special person out of a million, we’re seeing 15-20 special people out of the top 50 or 100 OP characters. It goes from a super rare ability among the unwashed and unseen masses to a much more common skill among the various pirates we know and have followed for a while, from minuscule odds to about 20-30 percent of the most important figures in the series. Y’all see how that makes it less impressive in the context of the story we’re reading than it is in the OP world itself, right?

Rayleigh explains it an ability you will find in those who make a name for themselves in the World. So obviously we are going to come across a decent amount of those characters because they are the ones who are driven to do great things. It would feel odd if we didn't come across quite a few of them with the amount of people who strive to make a name for themselves in the One Piece World. As it stands there is only 8 confirmed active pirates with Conquerors Haki in the World. Then you have 4 CoC users who are dead, and 3 that are retired.

You also have to take special Haki Type into consideration. X amount of people might have the potential to unlock CoC, but how many of those people actually specialize in it? That narrows down the rarity even more in regards to an ability that's already rare, and so far only one person that we know of specializes in Conquerors Haki. So that makes it even more special when you factor in affinities for haki.

I strongly agree... Sanji's only motivation to get stronger is just the same as the rest of the crew outside Luffy and Zoro, and to some extent, Usopp... Those 3 have personal reasons aside from selfless reasons... For me, it's unfair for Sanji to be compared with Zoro in terms of progression...

A real Sanji fan would be capable to see that and accept that.
