Yamato is the most annoying oden jock rider in history and is so dedicated to LITERALLY being Oden.. She also despises her father....yet fights exactly like Kaido with a club and not a sword.

Oda probably didn't wan't to create a swordsman that can use ACoC yet, he's deliberately delaying it he even gave zoro enma instead of making him learn advanced haki.
Yamato is a poorly written character, her entire reason of existence is to delay kaido and hold oden's logbook.

Well you can't resent her for using Kaidos abilities tbh. She literally grew up by eating Kaidos techniques all the time. She only knows about Oden because of his Logbook and maybe his execution. There is no reason to not be inspired by Oden, even if you only can use the opposites techniques.

I think some people see her as unnecessary. You could remove her from Wano and it takes away nothing. The flying six actually have more narrative importance than her since they give the rest of the strawman fights

She also highly likely to be a crewmember and her fighting style is unique, save for it being Kaido's (without including her devil fruit)

Who was the master swordsman that taught Gold Roger? You really think it wasn't sensible for the person who literally wants to be oden to learn her own sword style. Hell oden created his own sword style

But I would love if she used some Oden styled technique despite it's not under the usage of a sword specifically.

That’s why she tells Luffy “You’re more Oden than I.” Oden is just an idea to her.

she probably picked up the fighting style by imitating kaido's attacks during the multiple times she fought him.
