He wanted to do it and fighting Kaido has always been the plan. Zoro knowing Orochi being dead or alive doesn’t change the fact that he said he wanted to avenge Yasuie and the fact that he wanted to kill Orochi. When did Zoro have that choice? There was no choice in the matter of going to defeat Kaido that has always been their goal. Zoro wasn’t placed with a choice, it’s not one side of the coin you beat Kaido and the other you beat Orochi. Regardless of which came first it was Zoros intention to do both. How can you argue against this?

Where exactly was the choice that Zoro had? Kaido and Orochi were believed by the alliance to be together and they were until Kaido killed him.

Bro chapter 977 just before they land on Onigashima they were discussing the plan to kill Kaido. Then when Luffy makes the toast he says “First we deal Kaido, then Big Mom and Orochi”.
In chapter 979 the diagram and dialogue mentions Kaido and Orochi castle. For all they knew they could have been in the same place.
Chapter 982 shows another diagram of the castle and places Kaido and orochi together, they even talk about saying that they’ll both be in position.
Chapter 983 Orochi and Kaido are together just before the plan to execute Momo.
The Strawhats are all mentioning about fighting Kaido and even after the info about the alliance between Kaido and Big Mom, Kin says their enemy is “A Yonko” whether they were following it in systematic order or not who knows but they were always going for Kaido first. Like these were all the reason why they are mentioning conserving energy before going to fight Kaido. I’m not even arguing against this and you’re just saying I’m talking shit or asking if I’m dumb?

ZKK should be the wildest dream out there. For me personally, I want Zoro to blacken Enma and maybe Wado too I hope.... Kaido acknowledges Zoro and compare him to Oden would be cool. No point for Zoro to cut Mount Fuji or Onigashima since the debris will fall on the citizens of Wano and that's not a good thing.
