King isn't more durable in flame off mode. He just has ancient zoan durability without his Lunarian power. Queen is just comparable in durability if we exclude flame on mode.

He is more durable even without flames. Ultora Gari literally didnt damage him.
aCoC powered named moves didnt leave a scratch on his face.
Meanwhile, Scabbards came close to leaving a scar on Kaido.

Funny thing is how nik still insisted on ZKK even when strawhats left the country. Dude can hardly admit being wrong. I think I've only seen one or two instances when he admitted being wrong (and on those things he was incredibly wrong about) but most of the time, it's like the gif above. Also, imagine arguing Kuma wins against Big Mom and then making fun of those who question your sanity with valid reason. It's just one of many examples.

Just like there is no damage on baby s-Shark without flames when taking a DJ hit in the face.
If you thought Lunarian defense is off when they are in flameless mode, you thought wrong.

I tried not to comment on such things but you know people got carried away when it got into numerology.

Ultimately I don't feel bad for putting out a lot of clues myself (mythology, story parallels, and Japanese plays: I swore Oda was really into those things) because Oda's actual ideas were so roughly executed.

I still didnt see the panel how Sanji hit S-Shark, like perspectives matter if we couldn't even see the back of the Seraphim properly.

Actually, it was Oda himself who made Zoro declare in front of everyone that he came to the island to cut Kaido into pieces.
Pretending like the build-up isnt there is futile, it's huge. To the point that there still can be payoff to it unless he wants to truly waste it.
