It’s hard for me to see Kid AND Law as impactful characters when Oda goes out of his way to (for lack of better words) clown them.

This chapter, Kid looked stupid asf asking “what Haki is that, that it can hurt Kaido”, and then Laws stupid ass said in a Tsundere way, N-n-n-not like I’m part of your crew or anything, b-b-baka. Like he didn’t sell his soul to Luffy in Dressrosa.... boy you either In Luffys crew/side or you against him

And the ppl that still think Zoro is playing a back seat role for Wano.... bruh he liteeerally did more than Kid and Law this chapter. But you guys are too blind to see it.

I’m not gonna repeat myself anymore, just don’t be surprised when Zoro does more by End of Wano and then blame it on Oda. Then is One Piece (which is also Luffy Jesus Piece, and Zoro Piece)

Hell, the backstory of Zoro hasn't even started yet, which means we haven't even begun Zoro main focus yet.
OH SHIT, this post indicates probably the most overlooked notion going forwards.

Do you still think that Kid and Law have higher chances given the recent updates in the new chapter .
Zoro is going to end the arc with Wano citizens recognising him as the second incarnation of the "Sword God" Ryuma:
One Piece Magazine Volume 6 outright says: "It's been several hundreds of years since Ryuma's death. Perhaps a strong samurai who people can call the 'second Ryuma' has already been born.":
Given that Ryuma's most iconic legend is slaying a dragon over the capital, in order for Oda to credibly depict Zoro as the second Ryuma, Zoro would have to play a huge role in the defeat of the dragon tyrant terrorising the country. This is very synergistic with the One Piece Magazine Volume 5 mentioning that a new legend of slaying an Eastern Dragon will be born. Just as Ryuma had his own legend of slaying a Western Dragon:
So also might Zoro forge his own legend by slaying an Eastern Dragon and saving the country. Zoro will likely leave Wano recognised as the "Second Ryuma".
Thinking Kidd or Law were going to outshine Zoro was always misguided. Last chapter just made that clear.

I think @Nidai_Kitetsu compensated for being a Zoro fan by setting his expectations low to avoid disappointment. However, he seems to have been excessively conservative in those expectations. Watching Nidai's take has been an interesting dissonance.

Lmfao, you got me. I have seen people hating on their faves because they didnt meet the expectations. Also, Zoro is too great to catch an L because of unrealistic fan expectations.

No, but I think Kidd/Law also have equal chances to be the runner up in this fight. Everything can change in one chapter.

something that is pretty clear for everyone is zoro will be the one to open that scar

There's no hype if Luffy is tanking bori breath and shivra by himself..he never needed Zoro's protection.

When Zoro starts landing hits then he has a case, for now he is the least impressive against kaido :
Zero damage dealt solo,
Zoro attack landed solo
Missing Kaido
Being Zapped just like Killer, his captain being shocked like Kidd was

Meh, Zoro isn't trying to open the scar. His Hiryuu Kaen this chapter was targeted at beheading Kaido. Even Law directly avoided the scar when using Gamma Knife.

Oden's Scar has no meaning to the Supernova, they haven't even acknowledged it. I doubt they will be targeting their attacks in that area.

Zoro probably cuts Kaido badly enough to give him a new scar.

Kinemon never managed to trigger such a reaction in Big Mom, who was totally crumblin this chap, heck he didn't even manage to trigger Kaido's compliments for a much weaker attack than Hiryuu Kaen.

Even when he slashes him it will be on top of the scar. Opening up kaido was the point of my post. Kidd and law cant compete with that.

The funniest thing now is that they are blaming Zoro for "missing" Kaido.
They are unable to think one step ahead and ask themselves why Zoro is suddenly missing. :suresure:
Oda has such an easy job manipulating them, way too easy considering they were through the same scenario in WCI.
Tripping over the same rock, over and over again... One would think humans cant learn from their mistakes. :yearight:

Yes.

So far Killer outshined Kidd. Calamities fights haven't even started.
This Kaidou fight will obv last quite long. So the ones showcasing skills more rn are going to drop out first.
I was mainly highlighting the portrayal of Zoro(with the highlight of Odens aura in it ) and the symbolism of the attack that was both used on Kaido and Ryuma , with Ryuma slaying a dragon using the same stance as Zoro used in this chapter .

Even though Imo I still think Zoro will be interrupted/sidelined for a while from this battle and the 3 Sn’s captain will have there moment after which he would rejoin the battle with Only Luffy ( just my headcanon here ) .
