It's about matchups not linear level. Pica was running away most of the fight. Once Zoro cornered him it was one shot. We have no idea how strong Zoro truly was back then.

Also, Kaido was "playing with his food" and "underestimating them" according to Big Mom. It's just warm up. Enma/Oden's presence is Kaido's achilles heel. So not far fetched it'd scare Kaido. We'll see how they fare against Hybrid Kaido who'll take them seriously now.

Not damage stamina, just haki stamina is all that would need to be fixed for G4 Luffy to beat Dragon Kaido. Boro breath isn't hitting Luffy without Big Mom's distraction.

You will lose your HAKI and will be extremely exhausted because kaido will not give him rest, luffy does not defeat dragon kaido, the weakest form of KAIDO.

He will not be taking kaido to a 1x1 hybrid.
