You could say the same about any pyrhic victory that Luffy has that leaves Luffy unable to move, it's just a side effect of an extreme diff fight, if both people agree on the outcome of the fight who are we to deny it.
Do you think Oda is actively using Luffy to lie to people- after all Luffy's talk about needing to overcome the billion beli man- the whole reason for the fight after he found a way to trap kat in the mirror world by kidnapping brulee- that he didn't actually overcome him?

Why not? Luffy is officially the captain right? Like no ifs or buts, he’s the captain. So why is there no need for an official vice captain? Every other crew has them, even crews that people say are similar to Luffy like Roger or Shanks or even Kid.

is it because of the Sanji stuff that for some reason Zoro can’t officially be vice captain?
