Hatchi was his opponent. Zoro used multiple attacks against him then finished him with a Tatsu Maki.
Thats precisely why i said this atack is an AoE wich dosent necessarely mean its a finisher...Any atack can be used to finish off oponents, but only certain atacks are used when he wants to finish them off for good. Point is the atack is not on the same tier as Sanzen sekai or onigiri by a long shot.
:kizabat:

As to why Zoro didnt use oni giri or some other shit in this chapter....who the fuck knows, maybe oda was feeling adventurous in the wikia remenbering old atacks.

Ppl forgot this guy

This was the time when zoro was undoubtly stronger than Luffy....Not because he was above Luffy in every aspect, no, i dont think he was....But because Luffy was just too much of a goddamn idiot, putting his own life in danger to joke around with opponents. He even almost drowned that arc because of this. Im glad he improved that aspect...

I'm not invested in the fight like I thought I would
Don't know why :choppawhat:
Is it because Kaido feels like he is just standing there to be kicked around, or because of the Oden forced association with Enma during Zoro's attacks

You mean the form that Kaido actually left his base form to utilize? Definitely seems more like a powerup compared to his base form which got completely trashed by 5 rookies lol.
Oden tanked boro breath but was one shoted by a weakened kaido's normal club attack. Healthy kaido divine thunder >>boro breath.
Base kaido blitz luffy unlike dragon form. So no base> dragon form.
