In western countries, with a wife and kids, not even close.

Well I don't expect to marry and have children however it's a possibility, so I put it as a possible scenario.

I made some calculations and found out that if euro won't spike too much, it could indeed be the case.

I live in a small city so houses and land is lot cheaper than other big cities
I can buy around 20 nice houses with that money and just collect rent

The reason I am saying it because I know people first hand, who live in 3rd world country and have earned in their lifetime more than a million euros and it is not enough for what most of people here consider a life without having to ever work...
They are not wasting money, cheap car, an average apartment and it's certainly not a comfortable amount of money to spend a life with.

It may look nice the moment you get it but once you start spending and realize you burned through half of it within 20 years and realize that you have more than 20 years of life left... Most of people here are around their 20s and sure, they may be able to pay bills for rest of their lives but it has to be a minimalistic way of life and you know how kids are today - new phones, tvs, pcs and what not every couple of years, vacations... Yeah... Good luck covering all that with a million for the next 60 years...

I think it’s assumed that a billion dollars is enough to override ANYONE’S moral compass...not that we’re talking about this, because we’re not in case any feds have tapped this forum, but who wouldn’t consider such a horrible thing for ten figures??
