Hold on. So when they said the anime was consulting with Oda for extended fights, people here argued that it didn't apply to things like Sanji vx X Drake but just for Oden's flashback. Now that we've seen those fights, people are arguing that they don't count either. Why even watch the anime if all you're doing is wanting your takes validated

I don't get why being so heated over non canon expecially. If not it's crystal clear how Oden is overrated on this forum, Zoro has already most likely passed his Prime level going by latest showings, so this Oden faring shit against a Primebeard is not out of reach.
ITs pretty obvious at this point oda off screen fights in the manga so the anime can fill it. Oda is giving these animators the info on what happened in the manga he didn't draw. No way he allows the animator to make oden lose like that if it didn't actual happen. This means we gonna see the war between whitebeard and roger more fleshed out.
Oden's swords when clashing with Whitebeard look exactly the same as when he cut the boar. Blackened swords are very easy to distinguish from non-blackened ones as only a line in their middle remain white, and especially in Oden's case, whose swords are half white, half black yet when he uses armament on them (when clashing with Whitebeard, cutting the boar, approaching the Roger Pirates...) it's clearly shown to be black in both halves with said white line in the center.
Next episode not looking to cover that much content, probably trying to slow down here. An entire episode of Whitebeard and Oden's adventures sounds just great to me.
