Without Wanda, her chances is 0%... Even at Sulong together they can't finish him, what more in non-Sulong, weakened form?

If the weather became favorable with them, both of them would die in exhaustion trying to finish Peros...
the moon isn't vanished, it's covered with clouds now. im not saying carrot will rematch him without sulong, it's perospero his own words that indicates carrot has chance beating him in sulong form.

and personally i feel there's no way oda build up carrot motivation to beat perospero without giving any proper conclusion. regardless she join the crew or not.

This Carrot moment doesn't take her chances of joining to 0%. This Perospero plot thread has to be settled, will she get back up?

I'd say probably, but I think Perospero s words and timing of showing on the live is going to set up a Chopper moment. If that happens, carrots chances are gonzo.

I do think this chapter shows how one dimensional Carrot is though.

Really great chapter for Carrot4nakama.

As anticipated, there was a reason why Oda hid the Carrot fight all this time. To allow for the surprise reveal of her defeat, but also because it's unnecessary since this won't be her final fight as once thought. The rematch was set up in this very chapter. That aside, there are three other interesting details:

1. Round 2 + potential powerup
They came close, but Peros admits that the moon being covered forcing them out of Sulong prematurely was the reason that they lost. If this was the end of things, Oda could've just had him beat them at their strongest and have that be that. Say Carrot tried her best and then pass Peros onto a stronger ally. But instead he intentionally planted doubt, and Carrot's beaten but still conscious, meaning the conclusion hasn't yet been reached.

Also potential foreshadowing for another power up, one that doesn't rely on the moon and weather.

2. Mentor Pedro
Pedro's message is once again mentioned, serving as Carrot's motivation. Showing Pedro to truly be Carrot's own mentor figure, with his final words holding equal meaning to her as J. D. Saul's, or Hiriluk's, or Tom's to their respective straw hats.

3. Subversion
This is a really good line for Carrot4nakama once you break down what it actually means. Peros is telling Carrot that if she doesn't want more dead friends then she should "hop back to the woods and chew on grass". He's basically telling her to go back to Zou and just act like a rabbit. Claiming that she's not suited for pirate life.

This is clearly setup for a total subversion. Pedro's words to Carrot was to become a strong warrior and keep pushing forward. Peros is telling her to go back to Zou and be a bunny. Which do you think is more likely to happen?? The fact that the villain is basically saying what Carrot antis have been pushing for years is pretty hilarious though. But the very fact that it was him, a villain, that said these words strongly suggests that the exact opposite is what's inevitably going to happen. She's going to have a huge moment to shine like Pedro foretold, in which she'll prove exactly why she is "more suited" for the pirate life and that she can protect and help her friends just fine.

In short, the possibility of Carrot going back to Zou is on a doomed path and is set to be completely debunked. Likewise, there's strong possibility for a huge Carrot moment, highlighting her skills, will and determination, proving why she's fit to be a pirate with the straw hats.

With Sulong + Sulong Wanda she can't beat Peros... SHs don't need another weakling...

And oh, if you feel that way, might as well add Hyo4Nakama...

2nd that, even if she's not join this chapter truly shows that carrot's emotion is playing here. Most of the current crews got their lowest part when they were going to join (usopp's inability to protect his village, same as nami, and robin wanted to die twice). Defeat is one important part of a character so join or not, oda is building something into it.

In those moments luffy indirectly help them personal level. Did we forget that? Plus other character help them or back them in there time need. WHich no one help or backup carrot. Is more like avenging carrot lost. For someone else step in which cartoon particular is not part of.

Exactly. The argument against Carrot was that Perospero was the end of her plot. She'd fight him in a very short or off panelled fight, beat him and that would be the end of Carrot. All very quick and simple. But instead Oda's adding drama. He's not winding down and simplifying things, he's instead doing the exact opposite. All straw hats suffer defeat, but it's in bouncing back that makes them who they are. You mentioned Usopp, so I just went back to have another look and the similarities are uncanny lol. The exact same type of situation.
What happens after that? Usopp got back up got Zoro to help him and then defeated Jango, protecting his friends, proving Kuro wrong. It doesn't take a genius to work out that the same is just waiting to happen for Carrot. Especially considering her character arc. There's immense nakama potential for when that moment occurs. For the dawn. For her declaration as a pirate. And as a very close friend of the straw hats.
@dizzy2341 Since your bet-thread regarding whether Carrot join/not (back in OJ) is now still remain unsettled lol. Any plan on re-create it here?
Nah, not worth it. On OJ back in the day there was something to gain since the members in the thread were at least up for a healthy debate. This place however is a total shit hole. Most (not all) of the members here aren't even worth replying to so there wouldn't even be any sense of accomplishment in winning the bet against many here. I'd be willing to make a bet with a few specific individuals though.

ngl at first i thought carrot chance is becoming 0% when reading the spoiler, but when perospero said she lose to him bcs weather isn't in her favor, there still chance for her to have another rematch that hopefully not offpanel
I agree but she ain't doing it solo and Wanda doesn't seem like enough help (if Wanda even gets back up). Perhaps Chopper and someone else could help if the weather became favourable for Sulong and even then it'd be a tough fight.

chopper is gonna be there I suppose since he's the brother figure of her, other minks might join too.

If anything, this chapter really proves how one dimensional Carrot is. What does she have to offer, other than Su Long? A transformation solely dependent on clear weather and a full moon?

She had no dialogue, other than 'grrrr' and a panel of Pedro? This was the big moment for her, yet it didn't happen.

I don't doubt her coming back, but I don't see her gaining a main character moment. It seems, currently, the Perospero thread will be solved by a Strawhat. With maybe carrot helping.

Jew D. Boy

I Can Go Lower
The damage control is honestly a little less frantic than I figured it would be!! Still, holy shit, if you Carrot fans weren’t pointlessly screaming into the void before...anyway, I think we can all agree on one thing - if Carrot was gonna do anything meaningful for the first time since her single shining moment in WCI, she would have done it here. There won’t be any rematch with Peros, because she has nothing left to show us. It’s been 200 chapters since her introduction, and her defining moments are breaking a steering wheel on a ship and losing to a non-YC member of Big Mom’s crew; how much more proof does one need to see that she just doesn’t have any reason to stick around after this arc?? Oda isn’t building anticipation or holding her back because she’s the key to unraveling the mysteries of the world, he’s doing it because even he doesn’t give a shit about her.
