im like 100 percent positive tama is the next straw hat. every major pirate crew had kids on it. whitebeard, roger, big mom, probably rocks. tama is strong enough (she knocks out a pleasure and breaks his metal helmet with a wood stick on the beach in the very beginning of wano) and has good powers.

Yamato doesn't want to be a man, she says she wants to be oden and for that she said she is referring herself as male because you need to be male for that. Its a stupid plot, but no she is still a girl. And she doesn't want to be a man, she refers herself as male as oden was male. There is no complex plot here, for there to be a discussion and comparing with kiku is stupid. In the end its a stupid thing oda added or he is just sexist by saying she can't be oden since she needs to be a man first.
its not stupid. yamato is just extremely sheltered and doesnt understand how the world works. you think kaido let her do anything? she just found odens journal and went oh i want to model my life after this guy. i guess the best way to do that is pretend to be him.
you can tell in her dialogue she isnt even consistent about it and keeps catching herself and going yes! i am oden after all! because she doesnt literally believe shes oden she just wants to be him instead of kaidos daughter.

I don’t think Oda himself is being sexist. This is though the same manga in which Kuina was told that a woman can’t be the strongest swordsman and that her father seemed to instead want a son so as to have a patriarchy. Kaido probably wants a patriarchy to succeed him as shogun as well.
Yeah, even when she’s trying to be like Oden, much of the time, her desire seems to fall apart, saying things like how Luffy should become Oden, or doubts whether she can really become Oden in the first place.

If I remember correctly, someone commented that the Neko Neko no Mi also fits this theory. So if Yamato has the Byakko DF it would fit the theory.
And as far as I remember, only Roger and WB had kids in their crews. Shanks, who is Luffy's biggest inspiration to be a pirate and his role model, made it clear in Luffy's flashback that kids should not be pirates.
On the other hand, the SH treat each other as equals. A kid/apprentice would be beneath the rest of the crew, which goes against Luffy's principles.
And lastly, Tama has made it clear that she wants to live in Wano with Momo as Shogun. So she is not and will not be a candidate for SH.

Same Yamato, but people only focus in her cringy obsession with Oden and say she no has personality.
By now the two candidates are bad, the only thing that saves Yamato is the arc its not ended ( and she has to face Kaido and have a serious talk with Luffy about Ace/logbook/sail with him), but what its the excuse with Carrot ?.
