Only Dizzy calls her Yamao.
I find it funny how people are now using colors to discredit Yamato, when oda doesn't solidly a Straw Hat members' colors until they officially join. Didn't Yamato's color come from the new Databooks, which aren't even consistent for the other straw hat and one piece characters anyway?
Lmfao if people can discredit Yamato because of a colour theory then i can also discredit Carrot for the biggest elephant in the room, the alphabet theory.
Every Straw Hat who joined has a name starting from a different alphabet. Carrot already shares hers with Chopper, while Y is still free for the taking for Yamato.

don't be ridiculous she means had to fight for Wano against Kaido and fulfill Oden's wish that will happen if Kaido goes down. and she stated it before that she will go out but before that she will get Kaido out of Wano.

The big question is, just what the hell is Yamato's Devil Fruit? Byakko? Okami? Quilin? Typical Oda and his love of hiding Devil Fruit names for the SBS and hardly consistent Vivre Cards as always....
As for the design itself, eh. It don't even look like a Mink. What Minks look like some kind of strange horned beast, none. The flames are cool and the fur is at least molded to suit her personality. It's the new horn shape and face that throws everything else off for me.
But then again, shittier hybrid forms exist (Kaku, Black Maria, arguably Queen, Espoida, etc).

The way the goalposts keep moving further and further back - Yamato’s not gonna join, no clear role/MUH PRECIOUS PATTERN, she’s gonna die, her arc and motivation aren’t as important as Carrot’s, Pedro’s will is greater than Roger’s/Oden’s/Ace’s, now this color bullshit - we’re gonna reach a point where Yamato is shown as part of the crew on panel and we’ll still have people screaming their heads off about a false flag that is illegitimate in itself. If you don’t like being described this way, stop acting in a manner that makes it necessary
