Whoever said that every Sh was a focal point or one of the biggest focal points in an arc before they join was right
Zoro Nami Usopp Sanji Chopper Robin Franky Brook Jinbe
All share that

carrot was irrelevant in zou
Was a side character in WCI
And irrelevant and really almost invisible in Wano

Yamato is one of the biggest focal points in wano
Plus she declared her intention in sailing with luffy

Uncle Van

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
I agree she needs these 100%. I just think she still has a chance to get them rather than that she will be an exception. Especially if Big Mom doesn't go down this arc which I think is likely.

There was literally a guy turning Wano into a shit hole for over 25 years and Yamato still wanted to dip....

Everyone left DR when Mingo was beaten, pissing off all the brokers and showed up at DR in anger. I wonder if Kyros and handle all of that, especially considering he so easily leaves DR to go to the Reverie.

Don't see why Wano and just Wano, would be any different and why only Yamato specially has to stay. Let's all forget about the Scabbards who could knock an Emperor out the sky.
never understood the arguement of "Yamato needs to stay because she is the guardian and needs to stay to protect Wano"

Under the Kozuki rule they didnt have a the "guardian" and they got along just fine and with characters like Hyo, Kawamatsu and Izo
they could re-educate the Samurai to protect the country and teach skills from the outside world
And as far as a protector of the country, iirc Oda has stated in a recent SBS (I'll edit when i find it) that Denjiro is the strongest Samurai in Wano and Oden's style is the strongest in Wano aswell

My point, though, is that we may still get an arc focused on Carrot in the form of a final showdown with the Big Mom pirates. There's nothing in particular pointing to it right now, but there's enough going for Carrot that I'm willing to consider it.

Carrot doesn't the main villain in Wano, but she's still a thematic tool like the Scabbards, Yasuie etc..

Momo, Yamato, Kaido and Orochi are the main thematic tools and everyone else are secondary.

The Scabbards, despite jumping to the future, was still stuck in the past. Oden saved their lives for a reason but their inability to let it go almost lead to their certain deaths at the hands of Kaido, completely spitting on Oden's sacrifice. This happened again with Kanjuro using Oden's image to take some of them out.

Carrot tried to take out Perospero, which would have lead to her death if not for Pero's whim. Pedro's words of "You have to move forward!" repeats in her head but she's unable to accept that Pedro willingly gave up his life by committing suicide. Instead she blames Perospero for killing Pedro, with Pero himself saying that Pedro committed suicide which is true. She's currently stuck in the past and was thematically punished for it.

What do you need to justify about someone wanting to go on an adventure???
What theme????

And is funny af, because Jimbe joined the Strawhats In Whole Cake, and made it official in Wano.

Honestly I think it's going to have more to do with moving on/forgiving grudges. The innocence thing just isn't compelling enough for a strawhat imo, but the thing with peros could end up being a very good plotline if Oda gives it the focus it deserves post Wano.
Oh no, I agree with what Van said earlier completely regarding her conflict with Peros and being stuck in the past. I think that’s the point her story is at now, but if you look at carrot’s starting point and naivety (thinking the world is a wonderland) vs where she is now (defeated and having experienced the pain and loss of pirate life) I don’t think you’re can really argue that she hasn’t had a coming of age / loss of innocence. And presumably at the end of wano she’ll discover her true purpose in the world which will finish up her coming of age arc

Pedro told Carrot that he believes the SHs are the people they've been waiting for for centuries, with Carrot responding with "Centuries!?", showing she doesn't know of their history.

Pedro said that one day she will understand the importance of keeping the SHs alive and that she has to keep moving forward.

Yeah I think the mink’s history will definitely play a role in whatever decision carrot makes towards the end of her character arc, but regardless I just have a hard time believing that “keep moving forward” will lead to her deciding to stay in zou or wano. Neko will probably provide some clarity whenever he shows up again

Despite loving the idea of Yamato joining the crew and evening wanting that to happen yet I personally dreamed about the last SH to be a female logia user! Yamato has one, but not the other… tho her DF is worthy of PK crew.
well about this I’ve always dreamt that each female crew has their own respective skills:
Nami - non DF; Robin - Paramecia; Yamato - Zoan

having final female logia totally fits
Post automatically merged:

Mentioning about Nami & Robin, isn’t it obvious that Nami & Robin somehow belong to the main villains? Nami - Arlong, Robin - Crocodile. Both were part of the villains’ before joining the crew. Even Yamato has connection with Kaido, the Wano arc main villain. Which main villain Carrot belongs to?

Having too many females won’t fit the crew… I believe Oda has only planned for 3 females on the crew each within the level of their “trio”
Nami in the weak trio, Robin in the mid trio while Yamato isn’t in an actual trio, but she clearly showed to be much stronger than mid trio.

well if the theory of SHs will have 13 members including Luffy, 9 males & 4 females are still reasonable than 10 males 3 females IMO.

Vivi, IS A MUGI...
Even Carrot being a Mugi, she'll still being part of the crew as an honorary member...But Vivi is part of the crew...
Yes Vivi is a part of the crew, but she is only an honorary member, after the Alabasta arc she still never physically joined and sailed with them on the rest of their journey. If you mean that Carrot will also be an honorary member like Vivi, AKA becoming a Straw Hat but never joining the crew and leaving with them after this arc and going to Raftel, then yes, that's possible and perfectly fine for Carrot. It would just be like how Vivi journeyed with the crew but only Robin joined, the same can happen here with Carrot journeying with the crew but only Yamato joining for real and reaching Raftel with the rest of the Straw Hats.
