Few things, all of which are power-scaling (sorry):
  1. Prime Moriah was no push-over. His crew greatly damaged Kaido's crew. (If that part of the spoiler is true).
  2. Kaido is NOT the strongest character in OPverse like some believed.
  3. A swordsman such as Oden was compared to Roger and WB. Guess what that means?!
  4. Kaido is NOT as strong as Roger/WB/Shanks.
  5. Big Mom is NOT as strong as Roger/WB/Shanks.
  6. Zoro will be Pirate King level.
  7. Admirals are on par with Yonkous, one or two may be higher.

I am not debating this, better said, I always pointed it out as well. Base form is better for combat, no doubt.
However, it should not be more defensive form in terms of body sturdiness or however you prefer to call it.
Yes, in base form he can react but we are comparing both forms after they are hit, Zoan should undoubtedly be superior.

Every version of Kaido, period. Besides, Shanks became Yonkou 6 years ago. Which means Kaido was at Yonkou level even before that.

So, 20 years, 25 years, 14 years... they have no impact.

people downplaying zoan form so much now lol

That form is untouchable fo 99,9% people in OP world.... only a handful of people have the means to hurt it... just so happens Oden is one of those people

both guys proved to be beasts why can't people give credit to both dudes is beyond me...this forum only know how to trash people

Edit: its two top tiers fighting but obviousely Oda had to finish the fight fast...lol at this he didnt use hybrid he didnt use blah blah... Oda wanted us to think both guys are strong and Oden is up there with the legendary characters
