Break Week Luffy vs Akainu makes no sense

#26
Akainu won't be stronger than Blackbeard, who will be defeated by Luffy in Laugh Tale.
What’s the point in having Luffy fight a weaker villian?

I'd be more fitting for Luffy's final opponent to be the leader of the WG aka Imu. the one that controls the world. The one who’s related to the void century, will of D, Ancient Weapons, Celestial Dragons and not some underling like Akainu.

Thoughts ?
Im-sama is the EOS enemy prob Joy Boys archenemy and Joyboy prob revived in Luffy to take revenge on Imsama

I think we have
Imsama
The Gorosei
4 Admirals
Kong
CP-0
As his executives

I don't see Akainu standing out from the rest

He will probably battle Sabo since he couldn't save Ace he should avenge him

Luffy will handle the main antagonist
Dragon prob Kong

Akainu and the others will act as minor enemies

Big mom lost the fight and Oda confirmed it. Anything else doesn't matter.

Kid suffered stab wounds and headache so severe that he was close to dying. Despite that Full Power BM lost.

Nobody ever said you need to be knocked out to lose a fight.
But AdmiraL tards were saying that she’s getting KO‘d by Kids railgun so it does matter lmao

BM not using advanced coc is a bigger nerf than Kid getting stabbed

Where is the problem with that?
Every next opponent doesn't have to be stronger than the last one.
They just need to be worse match-ups and you will get a harder fight.

Kaido is the best match-up due to low lethality and no hax.
Blackbeard also has low lethality but has hax to make the fight harder.
Akainu has high lethality so he will be more deadly than either Kaido/BB.

Hopefully there's a scene where the Admirals are squaring off with the Strawhats and Luffy sends Akainu flying on his way to battle Imu.

Akainu tries to get in Luffy's way and Sabo intercepts.

This way we can know Luffy would beat Akainu and allows Sabo and in a way with the Mera Mera No Mi Ace to get revenge on Akainu.

But I do agree overall with the concept of the OP. Akainu logically shouldn't be anywhere near EoS Blackbeard level and in extension Luffy.

Luffy could fight Akainu before he fights Teach

Made this comment yesterday

People need to remember how pre-timeskip worked.

Luffy beat Crocodile, "supposed" equal to Mihawk, yet we found out soon after that was not true. Then he fought Enel, who was probably one of the most broken DF users outside of Kizaru for non-Haki users. Lucci or Moria would get rocked him. Yet, as progression showed, Lucci was far more dangerous to Luffy specifically because of his natural defense against Electricity.

So take this with Kaido. The most tanky villain in the series by far. He has fought 16 people and only "just" started getting tired when he fought Luffy on round 2.

- Does Kizaru need to be "tankier" than Kaido? No, he can just be stupid broken fast and requires the opponent to have mastered FS to keep up with him (makes you wonder why Oda had luffy start learning FS in the first place).

- Does Blackbeard need to be tankier than Kaido? No, he potentially has 3 of the most broken DFs in the series. He quite literally can make you lose your powers like Kairoseki, and he can destroy the world with his other fruit. Who knows what his last one is if he has it.

- Does Akainu need to be tankier? No, he quite literally may have the highest AP in the series. One wrong punch from him can kill you are permanently scar/maim you.

- Does Shanks? No, maybe he is the strongest "haki" user in the series (im just making shit up so you see what I mean, maybe he is, maybe he isnt).

- Im? Could have some other broken power

- Rocks? If alive, same as Im

You get the point

Tldr: It doesn't matter if Luffy is "deemed" the strongest to future villains

You are assuming the fight order of the remaining villains, that's your first problem. Second issue is that relative to Blackbeard, Akainu is just as much of an antagonist to Luffy. Both are responsible for Ace's death in their own way. 3rd is both got wrecked by Whitebeard, no more, no less. 4th is you are assuming Im is some all powerful villain when we have no idea yet. Look at Spandam, Orochi and Moria. Some villains are not strong.

Could Im be? Sure, but its not known yet. You also can't discount things like Shanks playing are antagonistic role or Rocks being involved in the story after Wano.

So akainu --- BB ---- Imu in same arc? Nah not happening

And imu is the main bad to joyboy aka luffy
