Look at it this way, if Oda can actually remember Carrot and involve her in a cool moment then I'm sure he has something planned for Ol' Mr. Prince as well. It's just that it's going to happen when we least expect it like what he has done before. I imagine it will give you the same sense of happiness that I got in this chapter.

Because that victory declare for Kaido
Kaido won his 1on1 battle, Luffy kinda lose it. But the fight is not over yet, I watched right now the Thriller bark anime,
What if Oda kinda do similar thing. Now Luffy get a new form(G5/Awakened form), but he is unconscious, meaning he can´t controll it, Luffy will go berserk and damage Kaido badly, Kaido will answer with awakening and we get a insane battle who shake entire wano. Luffy will put a good final hit to Kaido before losing his power, he will fall down, Kaido will stand but with major injuries.
Kinda this remiind your something? Yes nightmare Luffy vs Oz and Moria, I think the scenario will be the same, Luffy will only used one time his awakening but it will be insane, Kaido will get more nerfed, Luffy will stand up again and ask himself what he used now, Marco,Momo,Yamato and perhaps strawhats all join for a final battle with Kaido, Luffy use tigerman G4 and all others would face Kaido for last round, they winning, similar like with OZ and Moria.
In this case Oda would tease for us reader the awakened power of Luffy but also would show that he still need to learn and controll it, your guys thought?
