I too doubt it was the case; however, I do think it would be interesting to see Luffys autonomy be taken from him to end this battle. It works lead to an interesting character moment

Joyboy is solely inherited will. The man IS dead. Luffy represents what he is in the present, that's all.

The manga has only hammered down this idea of inherited will. Death is final in this series.

Luffy is "implied" to be dead at the beginning of the chapter, but he's not by the end. Yes, his DF clearly has weird properties causing him to transform at near death, but that does not literally make him the being from 800 years ago.

Why? Because that would entirely destroy the purpose and mystery behind One Piece if Luffy's "alter ego" was the one who actually left it and is conscious of that fact.

Except that Doriki didn't count neither weapons nor DFs.

So Kaku's doriki didn't measure his swordsmanship (he didn't even have his swords with him when Fukuro measured their doriki) and his DF inflated swordsmanship.

Basically Kaku's best move, Rankyaku Amanedachi, wasn't counted in his doriki, because it's something he can do only with DF. And DF power up is textually stated to not be measured by doriki.

So by doriki, it's Lucci >>>>> Kaku > Jabra >>>>> the others.
While by overall strength, it's Lucci >>> Kaku >>> Jabra >>>>> the others.

Enma is the best sword in the verse we've seen so far, if you are man enough to use it, Zoro kneels to Oden in this regard.

All it dies is suck your Ryou more than intended. It doesn't amplify anything. It uses the Users own Ryou.

Shirahoshi is the ancient Poseidon because she has the power of the first person who had the same power and had the epithet poseidon.
Joyboy is the epithet of the character of the Void century who , he had the sames powers as Luffy if you ask me he has to be an ancestor of Luffy.
Luffy, Shirahoshi, Momo, Zoro has inherited the powers of their ancestors.
Luffy has Joyboy's/Sun Godnika's powers
Shirahoshi has the first Poseidon's (a mermaid like her maybe even blood related) powers
Momo has the powers of Kozuki members who commanded Zunisha at that time and closed Wano's broders.
