Momo is the main character in Yonko Saga, and Luffy trusted Yamato enough to protect Momo to stay alive.

And how Momo can survive the raid? Yes, by maturing himself. At least being a 28 year old, he is much stronger than he was 8 years old. Momo knows he must survive the Raid, and he doesn’t want to burden anyone else protecting him all the time by being a helpless 8 year old child.
If Oda intends for Yamato to become part of the crew, he should've had Yamato fight with crew instead of having them either be with Momo or be solo. I showed how it would work and pointed out how Momo still could end up in the place development wise. I never said Momo wouldn't or shouldn't grow up. I said it wasn't due to the journal.

I find it interesting how some deem Yamato as having more ability to manage Wano than Kinemon and the others even though the Scabbards had more involvement in trying to manage the country while Oden was absent, as if they're unable to help Momo at all.
To be fair, the usual framing for Yamato staying on Wano is that she'll be a bodyguard for Momo/the country as a whole (ignoring the plethora of characters who already exist who can fulfill the same function and that Momo's now got Kaido's dragon powers and will likely match or surpass Oden's swordsmanship, combining the power of both people in one making the bodyguard role pointless).

Not join the crew, but form an alliance. Not a personal recommendation from a brother, but he did save Luffy's life. He didn't say he wanted sail the seas with Luffy, but he expose his utter faith in Luffy like Yamato was.

I talk about the red herring later.
So as I said, Yamato's case is not comparable to characters who've had 0 interest in joining the crew to begin with. There's nothing wasted or conflicting about Law and Kid leaving Wano without going with Luffy like you tried to frame it as below.
Like Kidd, Law, and so many other characters. Are you saying that all their arcs mean nothing if they don't go with Luffy?

You’re forgetting some things:

1. The raid hasn’t finished yet. It’ll be possible that the Yamato will have time to meet the crew in the next few chapters.

2. Oda has his editors that might probably want Yamato to have special bonding moment at the right time.

and I said the journal only strengthens Momo’s desire to be a worthy shogun, by maturing up. The first step is to physically be a grown up man, and be reliable to help take down Kaido, the man who put Wano in misery for 20 years; or at least not being a helpless 8 year old child is more than enough. Just because you said so doesn’t mean the story goes as you said so

All of the other bits: wanting to leave specifically with Luffy, making Ace's Vivre Card and having him quote her to Luffy, being the reason Luffy was able to find Ace for his final moments, being enraptured by Ace's stories of Luffy and crying at hearing what his true dreams are and that Roger said the same thing, will mean nothing. That's too much heavy background for someone that's just going to end up being a +1 on a list of allies for Momo.
You know those are secondary connects right. Those are literally connections they have with Ace and is being transposed onto Luffy. Originally Ace was supposed to take Yamato to sea. Yamato was annoyed by Ace only talking about Luffy. That dream Yamato cried about. Only because Roger had the same dream.

Yamato and Luffy only have one primary connect, and that's Luffy taking off Yamato's cuff. Even then that was played off as a gag. Yamato lamenting their handcuffs which were easily taken off by Luffy and honestly they could've taken them off them selves.

And just because Yamato doesn't join, it doesn't mean that their development is for not. Like Momo's not join that doesn't mean his development was useless.

Yamato annoyed by Ace talking about Luffy?

:kaidowhat:

Yamato looks pretty annoyed to me.
And this is chapter 999, what I gave to you is chapter 1000. So a small panel of previous chapter, you consider as “annoyed”, is more important than the bigger panel of next chapter where she admired Luffy?

For the record, all of your arguments have been debunked way before you got here. And on each chapter, the anti-Yamato arguments are getting less rational on each chapter release.

You can dislike Yamato joining the crew, but denying the facts with your headcanons won’t change anything

@JoSeungHun7335 I was just saying that Yamato wasn't enraptured when Ace was talking about Luffy. I didn't deny that Yamato was emotionally affected when learning Luffy's dream. I want to know how I'm denying facts, unless your saying Yamato joining is a fact.
The way you said that Yamato wants to set sail with Luffy as a red herring, that’s one of denying facts. Even when I gave you a panel, you’re still trying to deny it to fit your own headcanons by giving a previous chapter panel and “consider” Yamato was annoyed in your own comprehension.

Your denial of denying the facts already speaks for itself

This is not a Yamao hate post. I think if Oda wanted to write Yamao's character more seriously, there are things that should be changed:

1. Instead of another pointless of "Ace is great character" wank, Oda should have made Yamao befriended Jack, and not Ace in the past.

They both are from same age, they should be childhood friends. The boy who Kaido saved in the past, and Kaido's own child.
Both were close friends, until the day Oden was executed. Then Yamao began to change (like how she is in the manga) then Jack, her closest friend, noticed it. In Jack's PoV, he started to question: why is his hero's own child began to rebel so much against her dad and their own crew, and sided with the enemy?

Their friendship started to fall apart. Without Yamao around him, and with Beast Pirates' influence, Jack also slowly began to change. From the good natured kid whom Yamao befriended, into the brutal Jack we saw in Zou.

Then in this raid, Yamao's main match should be against Jack.
"But but Jack destroyed Zou, the dukes should take care of him" yeah no. Inuarashi can try, but he loses easily because of being crippled. Inuarashi might have trump card in Sulong but Jack also should have trump card in hybrid form that he didn't use in Zou. In the end, Inuarashi lost and Yamao came to save the day.

So we could have: Zoro vs King, Sanji vs Queen, nerfed land Jinbe stomped Whos Who the strongest F6, and then Yamao vs Jack.

P.s.
Ace already bonded with Tama as Wano representative. Why should Yamao be made to bond with him too? It is not like Ace ever mentioned Yamao during his life.

2. Point taken from a fanfict I read last year: There should be more interaction between Yamao and Shogun Orochi.
Orochi, being the big womanizer man he is, should try to hit on Yamao (who is good looking) behind Kaido's knowing. Only to be intimidated by her CoC or her stare, and after that Orochi is scared to Yamao.

3. She should have helped Brook to defend Robin from CP0. Instead of making CP0 fighting pointless, filler like battle against Apoo and Drake. Oda should have turned it into 3 vs 3 match: 3 people who weren't there yet during Ennies Lobby arc: Brook, Jinbe, and Yamao vs either 3 Masked CP0 or Lucci-Kaku-Stussy trio.
