It would make sense to me if the kaidou was in his drunk assassin mode and not his normal hybrid form, what's happening here is like:

  • Doflamingo defeats Luffy's base using Awakening.
  • Luffy comes back using the G4.
  • Doflamingo stops using Awakening when he goes to face Luffy in G4.
  • WTF.


Kaido's drunk assassin mode is clearly the most powerful mode, the wretch was blitzing the G4.

  • Kaidou defeated G4 and killed him.
  • Luffy comes back with the awakening (G5).
  • Kaido instead of being in the form of a drunk assassin, he is in the normal hybrid form.

I don't know if it's due to lack of energy or something.
The sense of Luffy's G5 form should demonstrate that he can match or surpass the drunk assassin and not the hybrid form of kaidou.
It is as if a return has taken place.
