@Electricmastro , please get Yamato's profession right. She is a Sake brewer. The title of Chapter 999 "The Sake I Brewed waiting for you". The chapter is about Yamato waiting for Luffy.
Also note how the Straw Hat Crew had to steal booze to celebrate Jinbe coming back. This is the perfect foreshadowing of a Sake brewer.

After Yamato, Raizo joins as the Lookout
Post automatically merged:

What reason does Raizo have to join now. I mean, he's even gross-looking
1. Unique Design.
2. Great fighting Style.
3. All Men love Ninja including Luffy and his crew.
4. Luffy was damn impressed with Raizo.
5. Raizo was the central focus of Zou arc
6. Getting lots of focus and saved everyone from the fire.
7. His fight with Fukurukuju was highlighted similar to SH fights.
8. Ugliness and being unpopular with Women is his quirk.
9. Is an expert Ninja, perfect for a Lookout. Note that all the SHs are exceptionally good at their ship roles.

Uncle Van

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
The fact that at the end of the video he states that her devil fruit is the guidance deity of Wano that why she should stay when the same Yamato(with the devil fruit of wano) says that she is leaving with luffy 😭😭.
It's more so that Yamato having that DF was used a reason for her to stay in Wano by the main villain. By Morj's own logic, the opposite of that should happen.

Smoker joining the straw hats????? Yikes
It was pretty popular back in the day(2014 to 2016) and even I used to be on the train, but it became more unlikely as time went on and more of Oda's interviews were unearthed.

Chopper’s the closest one to Carrot in the crew and he don’t give a fuck if she’s trapped in an inferno (especially bad to Minks).

Only cares about his crew.

If you think Luffy not mentioning Yamato last chapter was bad then this is fucking tragic. Luffy at least barely knows Yamato. Chopper’s spent weeks with Carrot and is her “big brother.”
I honestly think Oda forgets that Carrot exist and his editors have to remind him. Like he drew Neko a couple of chapters ago and one of his editors had to tell him that Carrot was with him lol

I got banned from tcb smh
Take the L from getting banned somewhere where it is easy not to get banned.

that's an interesting quote I wonder what that could imply. maybe odas methodology for writing is more so he makes the character and as he writes them into certain scenes he doesn't write from the perspective of what he wants but what that character would do/think from their psychology which is a pretty good method, and could be all that this means.

100% agree... #YamatoForNakama #RaizoForNakama

I actually agree that Yamato probably won't join but his arguments here are pretty bad
This... It's fine if people think that Yamato won't join, but please be logical enough...

But anyway, that's Morj... I believe he got overconfident with his "correct" theories in the past...

I doubt Oda forgot Carrot, but he's just emphasizing Carrot being unimportant...

There's a very simple reason for this, and it may seem obvious but bear with me: he's only mentioning his fellow crew members, and Carrot, as you said, is not one.

Chopper has most certainly not lost any love for Carrot, that connection didn't just vanish or become unimportant to him. However, it hasn't been talked about for years, and if Oda did have Chopper bring it up now, it would confuse the relatively simple message he's trying to get across, that Chopper's worried about his crewmates.

I still feel like Carrot has been downplayed by Oda with a purpose in mind, which, I get it, is not very convincing. But sticking her in the conversation now would be a huge red flag and is clearly something Oda doesn't want or care to do. Doesn't mean Chopper doesn't care about her, just like he hasn't forsaken Momo, Hyo, Dr. Miyagi or Tristan or any of the Akazaya he also didn't mention.

This kind of thing came up years ago with Jinbe during Fishman Island; he and Luffy were arguing during chapter 634, and Luffy said Jinbe was his tomodachi, his friend, rather than his nakama, his crew mate. That was the very arc Luffy first asked him to join, and the fact that he only considered Jinbe a regular friend up to that point had no negative impact on his final decision.

I’m comparing to the people saying Luffy not mentioning Yamato the chapter before was a huge blow to her chances.

Following that logic, Chopper going through a list of the seven most important people to him who all happen to be crewmates and forgetting his little sister must be the final nail in Carrot’s already nail-ridden coffin.

If you don’t care about Luffy not mentioning Yamato, then it’s not much of a problem.

But it does controbute to a continued pattern of Carrot’s irrelevance. Chopper could have said “the rest if the crew is missing! And Carrot!” Which preserves the supposed need Oda has of keeping her on the downlow for a purpose. He could even through in “rest of the crew! And Carrot and Kin and X and Y” to really ensure Carrot isn’t special. No big red flags in that situation.

But no, I’m really not convinced at all by the idea that there’s this gargantuan moment of glory for Carrot in the future and that Oda’s way to build up to it is to make her almost entirely irrelevant for the four years of Wano. I think it’s been said of Oda that he doesn’t write for the super fan who remembers every detail of arcs long ago. He writes for the casual reader who in his head is a fifteen year old boy. If Carrot was to be relevant, he’d be signposting it with giving her relevant moments, even if those are not explicitly making her a Strawhat.

Not relying on people still thinking “remember back in 2017 when Carrot went Su Long the first time? Wow, that was amazing.”

The situation with Jinbei can easily be distinguished because at Jinbei actually mattered. Luffy went into the arc explicitly wanting to see him and telling the readers that. He was involved tnroughout. Meanwhile Carrot could be taken out of Wano and genuinely nothing would change.

Any discussion about Carrot is not being driven by Oda giving us new information to work with, he’s done fuck all work with her. It’s been driven by Carrot fans continually bringing up that they think she’s going to be a Strawhat, which causes other people to argue against her.

Obvious comparison then comes up with Yamato. Who I do not believe is a certainty to join the crew. But I certainly believe that Oda wants us to be talking about her, because she’s been in basically every chapter since her introduction and that gives us lots to talk about. Even without it being outright confirmed that she’s joining or not.
