Kin emon, who is in charge of the entire operation was fully aware that there was probably a spy on their side, leaking information which had resulted in countless allies captured, a slaughter on Zou, and is foiling their plans yet again, and he decided to continue on, without trying to find the spy, or even restrict information despite them getting stopped at every turn because of the leaks?

It's very hard to say these morons don't deserve to just get crushed for their stupidity.

They truly follow after their master
didnt kinemon also say in this chapter that he doesnt want to know at this point. its probably because of the bond the nine of them had build up to that point that he was so hesitant to ask who it is. and even if he had asked all of them, who of them would blatantly blown their cover and said ''its me''. the only reason kanjuro revealed himself is because orochi told him, otherwise he wouldave continued being the kanjuro we knew before.

Over 3 months wasted...
Yeah: Seeing the history of Wano, the backstories of Oden, Orochi and the scabbards, young Whitebeard, the last year of Roger’s journey, him reaching Laugh take and the reactions of him and his crew when witnessing the treasure which is the freaking core of the whole godamn manga...
Despite how much you liked it, saying that this flashback was a waste of time is simply asinine, idiotic...

I really didn’t like how this was handled. They knew the strength of the enemy, the traitor was always on Kinemon’s mind, and then he just decided to ignore their presence and didn’t want to know at the eleventh hour. I was at least hoping the alliance would have to sleuth out who it was, but instead Kanjuro revealed himself (also for basically no reason)

Orochi probably told him to kidnap Momonosuke. And well Kanjuro and Orochi didn't expect to have a traitor on their own side (Kyoshiro, who probably have something to do with Luffy being there already) hence why the only sent fodders with war ships to deal with them.

What I meant is that it was pointless for Kanjuro to make his villain speech. He could’ve just kidnapped Momo without the drama.

Loved the chapter, particularly the Kanjuro bit.
I’ll be honest, prior to this chapter, I didn’t particularly like or dislike Kanjuro. At first I thought his ability was pretty interesting but the way he’s used it till now quickly killed off any sort of enthusiasm I had about it. Fast forward to this chapter though, and he’s quickly become one of my favorite scabbards simply because of how interesting he’s turned out to be. Be it 1.) his appearance or lack thereof - what is this dude is he a slime? Lolz or did Oda purposely depict like that to emphasize he’s nothing & doesn’t have form 2.), his psyche which I think is both incredibly tragic & beautiful at the same time 3.) or his abilities, which appear to be a lot more impressive than it was initially portrayed to be - if used properly this man will be very strong.

Really excited to see what Oda has install for his character. He’s still at the harbor which puts him at risk of getting his ass kicked just as soon as he was revealed to be the Traitor but with his abilities, I reckon he can he can get to Onigashima by air if he wanted to. Whether he’d be escaping with Momo tho, I’m not sure. Would prolly be easier to dump momo’s ass & escape on his own. Also I think he’s gonna be matched up against Kinemon as I think Kin’emon is the only scabbard who could potentially be able to change him.

Also, I really liked some of the beast Pirates designs and also loved the entrance of the SHs, Heart Pirates & Kid Pirates. Seems like Kid isn’t necessarily part of the alliance so that’s a relief 😅. Also pretty dope that we are getting naval battles but doubt it’d last more then a few pages.

Lastly, do any of y’all have any idea why Oda is holding out on Neko’s Arrival? ^^’.
Maybe he brings in Jinbei or even a Marco?

Wow Luffy in this chapter man wow!!!

The flashback paints the perspective of these samurai. How many times they've put their heart and hope out there, only to get crushed under reality and despair.

Despair strikes once more and finally they just head out to die, all very depressing and hopeless.

That's when Luffy comes out of nowhere firing shots, being noisy, and laid-back happy tom sawyer attitude. Really makes you feel like all will be okay, and he shines his cheeky confident smile. It's like a ray of sun and perfect clouds after a long cast of darkness.

And that KILLER LINE AT THE END!!!:noo:

You bastards!!, going after samurai on a tiny boat.

When you’re on the sea, you fight pirates!!:pepedoffy:

I finally have the time to read the chapter and I gotta say, wow. After so many months of Oden Piece, I am so glad to finally see Luffy, Kidd and even Law again. Yes. Law.

The ending for this chapter is perfect, it had the same hype as Sabaody when the three of them teamed up. Especially after seeing Law and Kidd take so may L's in Dressrosa and Udon, seeing them portrayed with so much hype is a nice change. This is probably my first time since a long time where I am actually looking forward to the next chapter.

Don't mess with the WorstGeneration. :finally:

Holy shit, what a chapter. The atmosphere and intensity is maybe the best I've ever seen from One Piece. "My name is Kanjuro Korozumi, how's that for a reason?" That was a bone chilling quote. Simple yet explains everything, all that needed to be said.

Also over the years reading One Piece you almost forget it's actually about pirates on the seas, the traditional shonen journey with training and all the baggage that comes with growing stronger really takes away from the simple things. This chapter really made you feel the pirate aspect of One Piece, with everything taking place on the seas and the pirates from the worst gen coming through to school the samurai. It's been a while, maybe East Blue, since we've gotten a reminder about what it means to be a pirate.

The one thing I'm also really interested in: Kaido's and Orochi's relationship.

They literally hang out with each other while genuinely enjoying each others presence and being good buddies.

Never expected that when they were both introduced the first time.
I'm still curious to know how this relationship was formed. It seems the Kurozomi elders were part of Rox crew, since the old lady had touched Shiki's face.

Looking at the Kurozomi powers, apart from Orochi, they all seem more magical than about raw powers. I fully expect to Barto and Mr. 2 to show up here.

That didn't stop that theory from existing for months now, which could not die down since Artur from the Library of Ohara jumped on the train too.
I swear, some of this shit, is so basic to figure out and people ignore it.

I had to tell people Koushiro was an average height human at 6 ft, while Denjiro was 10 ft tall like Kyoshiro/Kinemon. Or Tashigi and Kuina having different birth dates. Or Carrot only being 16 and traitor existing in old Wano...
