Regardless Kaido acknowledged he was in a 1 v 1 with Luffy so Kaido and Luffy see it as a 1 v 1 and the rest of the world when news breaks out the Strawhat Captain has defeated Kaido he'll get all the props.
lol nothing wrong with that i personally never felt it would be reported to the wg it would make the bounty situation very wonky to me luffy getting the credit for defeating kaido was always the plan for oda
