Sure, if Yamao joins, it will bite you in the ass anyway.
Red Bitch's fate is sealed, Yamao gonna whoop his ass in EoS. Not coincidence that Yamao is:
1. An ice user that will surpass Aokiji (by finishing what Aokiji failed: defeating Akainu)
2. A mythical dog (again, mythical one and not just mere colored dog)
3. Born in Wano and literally unknown power from Wano (which Akainu worried before, foreshadowing the cause of his downfall later)
4. Akainu killed Ace and Yamao was the only girl Ace ever befriended
Count your days. If Yamao joining, it is only matter of time before she kicks Red Bitch's ass.

Luffy already defeated Kaido, so right now he is already slightly stronger or at worst equal to Akainu.
Then he will receive another PU in later arcs. At least, he will get another one PU in Elbaf arc, but the more the number of arcs in the future, the more PU he will get.
By the time Luffy meets Akainu, Akainu will get neg diffed. Unless it is handicap fight like Luffy limits himself not to use devil fruit, or closes his eye with cloth, wears seastone cuff, or tie his hands in his back, so that Akainu can push him past low difficulty.
But that won't happen anyway, no intense doing so fight, so at best, Luffy will meet Akainu briefly then think "I will Blueno this bitch" but then Yamao comes and offering herself to defeat the Red Bitch to avenge Ace.

Lol you know what people aren't talking about? Jinbei's "We have to wait for the captain." Jinbei made a complete 180 on Yamato's character in one chapter, just like we said last week lol. It was nothing.
Yamato literally starved for seven days in hopes the simple prayer would help Luffy, and that panel with Yamato on Luffy's back in sheer happiness and Luffy's emphatic "Thank you!" is what bonding actually looks like. It was even paralleled with Chopper and Zoro, which everyone knows is one of the closest friendships amongst the crew. Yamato's a lock.
Raizo just snuck on board the Sunny and is waiting for them to sail away to surprise them. Oda is just subverting the narrative by having the boys at the port in awe of Franky Shogun only to wow us next chapter with a "Ninjas are so cool!" moment. A full completion of Raizo's introduction from Zou where even Law was enthralled with him. He'd make the best lookout since he can teleport up to the bird's nest and ninjas are known for having the best eyesight.
