The CP9 failed at getting Pluton location and schematics and got Enies Lobby devastated and they were seemed criminals for a time.
Killing Ace was the only thing the marines truly succeeded at in the war, they failed to kill or capture the WBP and their allies, they didn't get to kill WB and Teach did it and his sucess at MF was much more symbolic than the marines. Plus more than killing Ace what they wanted was to show their power and send a message to the pirates in the world which failed too.

And if you pretend that the BMP are always on the losing end and a failure crew then you forgot that they are a very powerful crew that has been active for decades and that they have crushed countless foes outside of the Straw Hats and their allies and that most of their crew and territory is still intact.

Being foiled after the opposition gave everything they got and being foiled by a destroyed cake, a push or a head bump is not the same thing.

You're asking me if I read the translations when Momo himself said he'd save himself from this matter? You realize the whole dynamic between Luffy and Momo is Luffy wanting Momo to be more of a man, right? If Momo says he'll save himself, Luffy would respect him.

Being utterly defeated and often arrested and being foiled but still having most of your crew and territory intact are also not the same things.
And what said that the opposition didn't give all they got during WCI arc ?

The opposition did give everything they got. But that's not what foiled BM, did it? It was a stupid cake.

And you would never see Crocodile or Doffy or any Admiral being knocked down by a head bump or failing to capture basically anybody.

IT doesn't matter if kid cares about momo. We have law luffy zoro sanji anyone here can easily save momo. We saw luffy use G4 on a fodder ship just last chapter and now he refuses to use it to save momo ? Now we have to wait and waste time on momo hostage plot when it could have been settled now.
