He wants to hit Chapter 1200

600 chapters and 60 volumes for Pre-TS

600 chapters and 60 volumes for Post-TS

:jordanmf:

It's gonna be around 4 years

~36 chapters a year

I said it many times, it's obvious op ends in chapter 1200. And Elbaf is final arc (where final war happens), dunno why people thought elbaf is not tied to ending, it has always been obvious
Imo the Final War has to in the Holy Land, above the Red Line and the New Marineford base

destroying the Red Line breaks everything

The Holy Land, Fishman Island, New Marines bases, Sabaody and it's slavery

it's perfect

Prediction:

final volume will be 120

adds up because pre timeskip had 60 volumes and 600 chapters

so if post timeskip is the second HALF of the story then it should be 60 more volumes and 600 more chapters.

with this, the final chapter will be around 1200~

each year has 48 weeks and every week we have a chapter, but if we assume Oda takes a break at least once every month then thats 36 chapters a year

36 chapters x 3 years = 108 chapters left

We are currently at chapter 1054

1054 + 108 = 1162

Adds up pretty close to 1200.
I had a similar prediction that Oda is trying to end at volume 120 =>

I think Oda is trying to end his story exactly at volume 120. Editor Sugita said, "He told me that the first part of the story, the part prior to the time-skip, was around halfway through. That was about 60 volumes"
http://www.onepiecepodcast.com/2015...nterview-with-one-piece-editor-suguru-sugita/
In fact, Oda exactly finished the timeskip at volume 60. The name of volume 61 was "Romance Dawn: For the New World"

We are currently at chapter 1011, which should be published in volume 100. That means Oda has 20 more volumes to finish his story. If we assume, 5 of those volumes will be dedicated to rest of the wano, then he will have only 15 more volumes. He will need those 15 volumes for the final arc. I think this is what Oda is aiming for: One more massive arc after Wano. In fact, Oda said in his 1000 chapter message, "Luffy's adventure is near the final arc"
Even back then @Paperchampion23 didnt like this prediction!

3 years means 108 chap nearly . How ? That means Bb and world government do not get seperate arc or fight for screw hats . Also , 5 elder dont fight against shs . Shanks vs Luffy wont be . Too short to finish when we check how many mysterious left in op
It will probably longer than that but not by much. He wanted Wano to end a year earlier and same with WCI.

at best I’d give it 5 years, I also don’t think Shanks will be getting a massive arc neither will Elbaf.

Most people don't like this prediction

i think this is his goal

Simple, he won't answer everything

have you considered that?

most stories don't answer everything

The pushback comes from people who think there will be two separate big arcs for Blackbeard and the World Government. Heck some were even suggesting an Elbaf arc where Big Mom comes back. Its pretty clear to me that Oda will pack all the fights into a big final war that makes "Marineford look cute".

Seeing how Oda managed Onigashima war, I'm not very optimistic. Lot of characters running around with rushed fights ouside luffy's one

Yep.

Look at Zoro vs Mihawk for example.

A bunch of people try to think how Mihawk will fight against the Alliance in the Final War so that Zoro could fight him.

This doesn't matter at all, Mihawk won't really give a shit about this fight between powers. He only cares to kill his own boredom.

Just re-reading Baratie it's clear, Mihawk wasn't against the Straw Hats or on the side of Krieg, he just wanted to kill his boredom and found a fight with Zoro.

I think Mihawk can start fighting alongside the pirates of the Alliance, as most Warlords will, and then when he meets Zoro in the middle of the battlefield, they will stop and face each other.

And you will see a bunch of pirates and marines stop to watch this legendary duel, just like they did in Baratie.

There doesn't need to be all this reasoning behind Mihawk being on the other side or anything like that.

lol, same here, I am sure it will be trash with lots of off-paneling. Wano destroyed all my faith in Oda.

Yeah, its possible. Oda could also spice things up by killing Mihawk, Shanks, Yasopp etc :pepecafe:

Well, Lolda cant kill King Baum or Moscato, so I cant see him killing important characters.
