Is Bleach Better than Kingdom?

I wonder if Qin has some hidden generals (very powerful ones) who were once lieutenants of old Qin 6 (like Gyouun, Chogaryuu, Tou). It’ll be an interesting change if Hara introduces some of them.
yeah seeing some come out of retirement to see their master's unification dream fulfilled, would be great.

It'd also give Hara a chance to kill a really strong character on Qin's side.

Thanks to Yoshi in TKC.

Cover page : riboku with his sword

Zeno breaks through the lines and reaches up to 2 soldiers near riboku, same for shuma rushed towards riboku, kaine tried to protect riboku.

Shin and the others saw the reinforcements coming to help riboku and they clashed with them.

Shuma almost killed kaine and injured her, but riboku saved her and now he is facing Shuma. from behind Kaine, Riboku hits him unexpectedly, but Shuma did not notice it, Riboku's sword pierces Shuma's left eye, and the sword comes out from behind the skull of Shuma's head. while kanki is watching shuma dying, kaine is bleeding while lying on her horse and riboku check up on her.

Kouko'ou shoots her arrow at Riboku and the arrow flies in his direction.

So it doesn't look like Shin/Mouten are there.

Shin has been disappointing this arc ngl, I expected him to go rage mode and pack whatever hurdles standing between him and Riboku in a situation as intense as this one. His promise to avenge Ouki will be nothing but empty talk if he doesn’t get riled up this chapter.

Exactly. Shin wanted to outclass Riboku so badly but somehow he has became like a obedient kid of Kanki and Mouten, lets leave him aside. Don't know what's the role of Mouten is in this whole arc.

Kanki has created the best opportunity for taking out Riboku. But the main offense being given to guy like Shumu or Kokou rather than Shin, Kai sisters and Aisen is really PIS.

In the end of Zhao war, both Kanki and Riboku were to be down and looks like Hara wants to give Riboku a better ending here than Kanki considering Riboku was the leading villain of the series while Kanki is just one of the main general from leading state.

The way Kanki harassed Riboku in whole arc and than even isolated him so brilliantly but now showed to put up his last fight like this is really looking like a joke. Lol

I hope Hara would make situation looks nicer and fitting to plot in next chapter rather this dumb PIS.

Whole arc was going perfectly but just the actions in this chapter...
:seriously:

Disappointing how?

When Qin morale was at its lowest and the Zhao at it highest, as Ri Boku's cage fell at Gishi Plains, Shin
  • rallied his demoralised men to completely overwhelm the Zhao Right Wing
  • held his own in 3 v 1 duel against Jyou Ka Ryuu (with scrubs jumping)
  • destroyed the Jyou Ka Ryuu Army (which was said to be stronger than Gaku Shou's)
  • saved the Gaku Ka Army from annihilation (preserving the life of a future 6GG)
And that's just at Gishi Plains.

By the next morning, he took the fortress city of Gian with only 1 siege tower and a couple hundred men (at most) against thousands of fresh Zhao soldiers on the walls.

Shin is the undisputed MVP of this arc. There is no one that comes close right now. This ambush is cute, but it's telegraphed it will fail, and it follows Kan Ki getting BTFO'd and losing 130K men.

As for rage mode - what?

The primary emotion Shin feels towards Ri Boku is respect. He doesn't want to kill Ri Boku because he hates him. Avenging Ou Ki still is a part of his motivation, but it was at its peak in the immediate aftermath of Bayou and has decreased over time. Sanyou changed everything for Shin, both as an individual and as a would-be Great General

I highly doubt Shin hates Ri Boku anymore than Ren Pa hates him for slaying Rin Ko.

To Shin, Ri Boku is not a hated foe, but the great wall that stands between him and becoming a Great General of the Heavens. He has said this explicitly.

I'm not even convinced Shin would actually kill Ri Boku if he could avoid it. He'd probably kill him out of respect, to allow him to die for his country and join his ancestors and loved ones in the soil, rather than die a prisoner of Qin, but he wouldn't feel good about it. Not even in the moment. Of course, he wouldn't allow Ri Boku's body to be violated either.

Yeah I am still waiting why Riboku should be truly frightened by this development over the other option. Let's see next few chapters hopefully
