Don't complain if it happens for internal beef with the beasts pirates. Oda won't draw random fights that lead to nothing. He will draw fights that have conclusions and get us closer to the end of the arc.

Basing on the latest spoilers where the Flying 6 can challenge any of the All-stars and replace them if they beat them. So it's possible in the past they lost to King and that's why they weren't promoted etc.

anyways u could stood up and challenge a yonko and that doesnt mean anything. Challenging someone =/ equal in power. We already saw this many times in the series when somebody got their ass handed back for being too cocky.

isnt this seems to be too convenient? not only the beast pirates weaken themselves first by fighting againts each other, Kanjuro who was supposedly bring Momo to Onigashima suddenly make a U turn and goes back to mainland literally Oda can pull anything in the alliance's favour to make this war end once and for all in Onigashima.

Issue is despite all that, the alliance's chances of winning are next to none.

maybe he thought he can quickly handle Hyori since she doesnt have any powerful bodyguard as far as we know, while the ships and Onigashima defense can stall enough time? He left before Jinbei came so at that time he deemed it was not so urgent to go to Onigashima directly? And basically that's always the same overconfidence of main villains / downgrading their enemies
