Riboku really didn’t do bad against Ringyoku, kinda just like against Shuma he held his own. When Ringyoku knocked him back it’s because Riboku wasn’t mounted and Ringyoku was. It takes extreme strength to contend physically with a mounted opponent when you are on foot.
Beautifully said. Now let's wank the legend Bananji-sama for dishing out equal force to Akou while not mounted.

Ba Fu Ji's death flag rose up the second he acknowledged his father at Gishi Plains.

I don't think Hara is unaware of what readers are going to be thinking.

That doesn't mean he'll be out to subvert expectations.

Right now, I think Ri Boku may lose Fu Tei, but I think everyone else is safe on the Zhao side.

On the Qin side, I think most of the Kan Ki Army officers dying is on the table, including Kan Ki himself.

At this point, I remain annoyed at the fact Shin didn't get to kill JKR. I think that's the kill that should've happened to bind in enmity the Seika commanders and the Hi Shin and Gaku Ka. This arc could've ended with the Shi Ba Shou face reveal after learning it was Ri Shin of the Hi Shin Unit that killed Jyou Ka Ryuu.

Doubt Futei will die here, he seems like he has enough martial prowess to (at the very least) hold his own in this scenario against Ringyoku and Kanki's various clans.

I also read on the timeline something along the lines of Futei escorting prince Ka to the northern region after Riboku's death were he will lead some resistance that will last for some time until (I believe) Ouhon conquers that region.

Fu Tei is purely a gut feeling on my part. Aside from Fu Tei, Kaine seems like she will live, and I don't see Ba Nan Ji dying - which would be a devastating loss to Ri Boku, and therefor Zhao - unless he is part of the price they pay for Kan Ki's head.

Ba Fu Ji could of course kick it. We'd predictably get the Demon of Ganmon and that might be interesting. My only complaint there is that Zenou was an underdog at full health, never mind as compromised as he is now. I had hoped to see BNJ and Zenou go at it, now I kinda don't want Hara to bother.

Need to see some generals from Zhao side to die here quickly. Riboku has pulled out a lot of generals out of his ass this time. Lol

Futei, kaine or Bafuii doesn't worth much. Before i though Enka (or whatever that Gian general named) and one of the Seika general should be dying here but Hara kept them alive. When Enka left Riboku alone in Gian, everyone thought he's dying for sure next but even he's chilling somewhere else now. Lol

They're the ones with the overwhelming numbers. They don't have an excuse to lose one of their generals, much less multiple.

The fact Kaine survived TWO shots to the chest has me convinced Hara doesn't intend for this victory to cost Ri Boku a great deal, whether it ends Kan Ki or not.

To me, Ri Boku killing Kan Ki at the cost of his woman would've been the kinda of fuck you/victory from beyond the grave defeat that would fit Kan Ki. Dying with a twisted smile even while his body is hacked to pieces by Zhao soldiers (as Ko Chou alluded it would), knowing Ri Boku would suffer an even worse fate living: if not a victory in it is own right, that's a draw.

If this is the end of the Kan Ki Army, and it sure looks like it, I don't think Koku'Ou outlives Kan Ki for long if, if at all. If she doesn't die, she'll go into exile. Rin Gyoku seems like the kind of type Mou Ten would recruit to his cavalry-first Gaku Ka Army. Ma Ron will join Shou Hei Kun's service.

Well the HSU are about to clash with the Seika Army again, so somebody might die there.

Mouten is about to fight somebody though given how his opponent wasn't revealed then that could be where a hypothetical Shibashou entrance could happen when he whoops the Gaku Ka's arse. Lol.

Hara would be selling SBS short if whooping the Gaku Ka's arse is all he could accomplish. If SBS showed up now, even with 1-3 thousand men, he should wipe out the severely compromised Gaku Ka with ease. Hell, even at full strength.

I'm hoping, if SBS does how up in this arc, that his army is hidden in Hango or somewhere else close enough to intercept a large Qin reinforcement army.

If I had my way, SBS's hype feat would be stalemating an army led by Ou Sen and Yo Tan Wa and completely stopping them in their tracks to the point they are unable to reinforce Kan Ki in time.

Hey, I said it was a potential entrance, not that it would be the only thing he would hypothetically do in this arc.

I just thought it was a bit suspicious how Hara didn't show who Mouten was about to fight when he did show who Shin was about to fight. If it was somebody we already know is there then why not show it?

Now that I think about it though, there is one other bloke that could make his entrance here instead of Shibashou (who honestly looks like he would be overkill at this point).
Whooping the Gaku Ka and heading Riboku's way to save him could be a noticeable entrance for a guy that was only name dropped in the last arc.

That or I am overthinking all this and Mouten is just about to fight some Gian Generals or stall Bananji and Hara just didn't feel like showing in Chapter 741.

I get your point, but I don't see any scenario involving Shin, Mou Ten and Shi Ba Shou that doesn't result in devastating losses for the Qin.

Might be because he's facing Earl Rai, Kotsu Min Haku or anyone else not worth getting excited over. Could be Ba Nan Ji.

I think Hara is probably going to focus on Seika and Shi Ba Shou's introduction to the story.

That said, I continue to have faith in my long time prediction the Zhao will restore the Three Great Heavens in full as a statement and morale move, in which SBS will be the merit-based appointment and the young Chou Kotsu will be there prematurely because he will be be an ally of the corrupt courts of Zhao (I think naively so).

Mou Ten stalling BNJ certainly makes more sense to me. Those two have history, and I would quite like to see Ai Sen vs BNJ.

Oh shit lol. That would be some fucking shit lol.

Honestly though the more this battle progresses, I’m now pretty sure we aren’t getting a Shibashou reveal yet and that it’ll come afterward.

There were 8 generals excluding Riboku before war started at Gian so if few were to drop than it won't be disturbing (while Zhao has capabilities to produce high generals out of thin air in every major or minor wars).

Don't jinx our cute cheerleader Mouten here. This whole arc has been unfair for him.

If it is for an upcoming reveal then the other one it could be is Chou Kotsu.

Who knows, maybe Qin gets whooped so hard that they won't be taking any notable scalps. :myman:

With that new design Hara gave him, Mouten was asking for a pounding. :shakiously:

Well another great general and a hero as well was produced just like that.... lol

But Owl Ki, him showing up here would be lot better than SBS. Coz if SBS joins here than Ordo definitely going to chew some land of eastern zhao for sure.

But if Choukotsu comes here than Kantan would be out of security (or don't know if they could another GG as well there) and neither Ousen nor YTW going to slide away such big opportunity.

That is going to happen sooner or later so in this break week lets just enjoy Riboku eating the dust for the first time after rising to the rank of GG..

Mouten has to do it to impress either Shin or Riboku coz Ouhon ignored him and now spending the night with another girl. Tough days for our cheerleader
