See here's the thing right, even if you end up being correct about this (which I hope you are but honestly I don't have much faith in Oda to follow through with his setups anymore. While it would make sense if that's what he is going for, it doesn't matter since this whole situation was brought forward by a poorly introduced and barely justified set-up (being that Carrot is somehow Queen of Zou which came out of nowhere, that Yamato would decide to stay behind because "Oden LUL", and nevermind multiple other plot threads that went nowhere like Zoro's story) so I'm at a point where even if it happens I probably won't really be happy or care because ultimately Oda fucked it up in my eyes even if he ends up course correcting or whatever, and if he doesn't well it's really nothing new :kayneshrug:
The Yamato thing made a little sense, like Momo is a wimp so she has to stay in Wano so it doesn't get destroyed. But Carrot's queen thing is just straight up non-sensical

Wondering why you randomly tagged me, but Carrot was never meant to be a SH and never received any treatment that would suggest she ever would.
Because you seemed to be really questionning my reasonning (as you are doing now) and you were one of the first I thought about:

Even a basic understanding of Oda's story telling and habits would let one know that Carrot wasn't going to be a SH. Your arguments depended on Oda doing something he's never done before and just called it story telling.
We don't know if other people will effectively play a role later (the many countries/Yamato/Momo etc.) but with this, we are close to say that Carrot will and in a more important way than other character, especially because of her meta relationship with the Dawn. Some could even use that to reexpect a potential recrutment for Carrot in the future in the crew...

Vivi and Carrot will hit it off as fellow sovereigns, since Carrot is the New World Vivi parallel, I just never put it together because I didn't really view Carrot as Royalty. If you do, stuff makes more sense, and you can start to see a lot of parallels and connecting themes between the two characters.

-Vivi and Carrot attacked the crew upon meeting them while in/on a giant animal (Laboon, Zunesha). They then sail with the crew in a slightly suspicious way
-They have an overall goal (get to Alabasta/Wano) but have to go to a bunch of other smaller islands first (Little Garden, Drum, then Totto Land just... uh... being a shitton of islands close to each other)
-Despite being strong for their age, Vivi and Carrot were too ignorant about war and death. Vivi gets punched by Luffy for being too idealistic about keeping people from dying in a war; Carrot learns how dangerous piracy is when Pedro sacrifices himself to save her and the Straw Hats.

-Both of their countries were destroyed by a powerful pirate looking for information about the Void Century, with Alabasta being dried up by Crocodile, and Zou being ravaged by Jack the Drought
-Both are associated with jumping (Vivi's final attack against Mr. 6 and Ms... Father's Day??? I forget her name, and her leaping off the ship before the Reverie), and using close ranged attacks with odd hand-based weapons (Vivi's Peacock Slasher, Carrot's Paw Gauntlets)
-Both have had their mentor die in the Post Time Skip (Pedro and Cobra)
-Both are connected to Pluton, as Zunesha is meant to destroy Wano's borders to unleash Pluton, while Vivi's country, Alabasta, hid the information that Pluton existed in Wano
While I would stay cautious with such possible relationship, there is indeed some similarities between Vivi and Carrot, in fact, this "metalink" was shown the moment Carrot was introduced the first time.

You see, 823 is one of those chapters where the lookout post plays a narrative role, both in the subtext and in reality. This is - almost - where the chapter start, this is the moment we introduce Carrot and this is where it ends. Vivi is shown at that post, feeling the air.

Carrot was never meant to be a SH and saying so is contradictory to what Oda likes to do. She ain't getting another arc mainly about her with a villain she needs Luffy to beat.

The SHs are bringing the dawn. The Minks and Kozukis are waiting for the dawn. Carrot doesnt have even implied priority over everyone else.

Why is Carrot still being discussed here? She is gone. She hasn’t been any chapters since we left wano and before that she barely was a side character. I wanted Yamato to officially join and not with a promise of being picked up later. But that didn’t happen. I moved on. No I’m putting my hopes on Stussy and patiently waiting for them do be crushed again. :vistalaugh:
We had that matter already - conclusion: This is not a nakama-thread anymore but an open therapy-session for Carrot fans.

Denial and depression. When you got people saying Oda changed his mind or he must once again be planning a swerve, therapy isn't enough
