I don't really care about his trash gag if it isn't affecting directly the plot. Like starting with that stupid gag when there is an important discussion or a critical moment. Outside of those situations I just think that it's stupid and not fun at all.
I think Oda shows Simpji at his most pathetic form and then turns him into the most faithful man after Pudding confesses her love for him after they save her from Backbeard's hands.Then we'll see a complete transformation from dogji to the greatest chad.
