You can dislike Carrot or Yamato from the bottom of your heart, but Oda did something with them during the story. Ad frankly Carrot didnt tale that much spotlight during Wano.

Denjiro was hyped, meant to be important for a good part of the arc, to end as a completly background character and scabbards.

Kawamatsu was even more meaningless but his stakes and narrative was lot less important to be begin with. (I wonder why Oda crated Kawamatsu, the guy has like 0 purpose in the story)

The problem with a lot of the post time skip arcs is too many characters but not enough plot so there’s often a redundancy of characters.

Like for Denjiro and Kawamatsu, besides their role as scabbards their other role was to be Hiyori’s protector but there’s two of them and only of them got shine.

amazing how 3 out of 4 in that list are females

guess this speaks volumes of Oda's female character writing in the series... = useless
