As for Riboku's side, i'm cool with him stopping the Zhao soldiers if his reasoning is "we aren't like them" type of shit, fits perfectly with his character.
Oh yeah i like these thing in a middle of really gore event.

Riboku said here that kanki is the strongest amongst the 6gg

:steef::myman:
Strongest that riboku defeated atm yesh but i believe ousen is way better than kanki. In the history ousen is the one who contributed the most for conquering china. But maybe in term of goodlooking ousen not win the match.

:steef::myman:
Oh fuck off Hara. That is straight feckin bullshit. Lol.

Riboku has no reason to believe this, especially considering he ultimately won against Kanki but flat out lost against Ousen.

Kanki willingly walks into an ambush, loses around 4/5 of his army in a day, already lost the ability to achieve the campaign objective of securing Northern Zhao, proceeds to ultimately lose badly in his botched, hail Mary ambush and dies with only three of the Generals that served under him this arc actually managing to escape. Every other General is dead or captured.

Riboku: "Yep, definitely the strongest Qin Six."

I guess @Elder Lee Hung was right about that head wound giving Riboku brain damage cause Riboku done forgot about the one Qin Six member that undeniably beat his arse before he even became a Qin Six. Man done forgot about Ousen. :shame:

I’ll wait for the Sense translation, but if this is correct, no lol. I think Kanki really is just the guy who mindfucks Riboku more than anyone else. I already talked about Riboku just being unable to wrap his head around Kanki here:

Chapter 724 was straight up the most severe miscalculation that Riboku has made in his entire military career. I actually ended up rereading Riboku’s logic several times because even without the benefit of having my knowledge as a reader, I think I would’ve questioned Riboku’s logic here.

Riboku’s logic was “Kanki has achieved all of his victories through Un-traditional strategies, therefore his weakness is traditional warfare.” Okay, that’s fine, I can agree with that, but then Riboku says “because Kanki didn’t pincer Keisha at KokuYou Hills, this means Kanki straight up does not know formal strategy.” Okay, so:
-We as the readers know that this logic is wrong. Kanki knew he should have pincered Keisha, but simply decided not to.
-Even if we didn’t know that, this is almost an elementary logical fuckup from Riboku. I understand that it’s hard for Riboku to reverse engineer someone’s tactics without even knowing what they look like, but like..this was such a severe leap in logic that I actually thought it might straight up cost Riboku this battle (though as of 727, this does not seem to be the case, Kanki is likely finished here).

Like I said, I actually reread Riboku’s reasoning here multiple times because I was so in shock that a character who thus far I thought has shown pretty flawless logic, to make such a glaring error in his calculations. And like I said I literally thought Riboku may lose this battle when I read that. But anyway, onto other things:
But I also think Riboku just grossly underestimates the Qin 6, still to this day. We went from this moment here:

To Riboku getting imprisoned for failing to keep the Qin out of Gyou, and it seems like Riboku still just doesn’t think as much of the Qin 6 as he should lol.

I’m fine with this. Flaws make characters interesting and Riboku’s own arrogance is on full display here. “Kanki nearly checkmated me, he must be stronger than all the other Qin 6.”

Oh Riboku, my sweet summer child lol…this man is my favorite villain in manga history but boy oh boy is his arrogance showing right now. Lol

You know, I think Kyoukai and Kanki have one major thing in common.

Hara absolutely loves them.

I am convinced that these two are by far Hara's two favourite characters. Which is why they are surrounded by such blatantly biased writing.

Anybody here that has seen me criticise Kai knows my problems with her. To summarise, she is an overpowered, perfect specimen that excels in every important way and would singlehandedly dominate the entirety of this manga if she weren't held on a narrative leash that prevents her from destabilising the setting with her mere existence. This anomaly straight up belongs in a different manga. Put her in Naruto and she would fit right in.

Kanki isn't nearly this out of place but likewise he just isn't allowed to look bad or have any kind of genuine weakness. Kanki is a straight up reprehensible, degenerate, debased, depraved monster...... and everybody that meets the guy ends up loving him? What the absolute fuck?

Kanki isn't allowed to even so much as look bad in his conversations. Ei Sei has great debates with Yotanwa, Ouken and most importantly Ryofui. Yet Kanki is the one that stumps him? Likewise, Riboku ends up having a similarly lacklustre conversation with the Bandit and Kochou is just verbally bitch slapped for his trouble.

Likewise in battles, Kanki's opponents have generally ended up looking bad in order to make Kanki look good. Kochou was a colossal disappointment, Keisha was a wasted opportunity that needed Shin to coincidentally kill him in order for Kanki's plan to actually work and Riboku has looked at his most retarded in this arc.

Not to mention how Kanki's victories are generally skin of the teeth, high risk/high reward, retarded gambles that 99% of Kingdom's Generals would consider flat out too insane or too costly to be effective. Yet everyone fellates the bloke's service record anyway even when said victories needed major assistance from the likes of Shin to be effective. Duke Hyou's tactics are recognised for the abhorrent meat grinder that they are but not Kanki's for some reason, his are mysteriously acceptably fine.

Even when Kanki finally loses here, he somehow magically looks better than his opponent Riboku, who verbally sucks Kanki's cock and tells his men to respect Kanki the Rapist's corpse. Same Riboku that was more than happy to unleash Mangoku on the entire population of Qin.

This is why I find Kanki so gratingly irritating and why he is the only one of two characters in Kingdom that I actually dislike.

Hara loves the guy so much that he tries to ram down my throat how so many other characters also want to throat Kanki. Nobody acknowledges any kind of flaw or weakness in Kanki's methods. Hell, the whole "Kanki's weakness" subplot ended up being singlehandedly Riboku's most retarded moment in the entire series and the moment that this arc started going downhill fast.

I am genuinely relieved that Kanki is gone so I don't have to watch him make other characters lose 3/4 of their braincells by being his opponent. Now if only Hara would kill off Kyoukai. :goatasure:

Kanki and Kyokai don't even compare in writing

To be honest I don’t care either way, the reactions this will lead to is absolutely hilarious. It’s like Hara and Kanki both gave one final middle finger to the detractors lol. This has to be intentional.
"Ya know imma have Riboku wank Kanki's dick one last time. Yeah it should be the last time...maybe. Can't wait to read the comments on the great Worstgen Forum:madmonk:🖕🏻"
- Hara

Kanki and Kyokai don't even compare in writing
I literally said that in the post. Lol.
Kanki isn't nearly this out of place
Kanki is still at least an actual Kingdom character. Kyoukai is a Naruto character that accidentally walked into Kingdom.

I will also say this about Kanki. I used to enjoy Kanki. The guy used to be in my Top 10. It was from around the Kochou Arc onwards that I came to dislike him.

I have never enjoyed Kyoukai. She has just always been there to me and has always been the worst part of Kingdom.

Just curious, which victories do you think Kanki’s opponents acted dumb for? I can’t think of any off the top of my head.

Kanki killing Genpou was just straight up terrible luck for Genpou, not necessarily anything he did wrong.

Kanki and Choutou killing Seikai was Kanki exploiting the Coalition army’s own unfamiliarity with its own commanders due to the fact that it’s armies were all from different states.

Kanki didn’t beat Keisha, Shin just got pretty lucky tbh.

Kanki’s victory over Kisui, I don’t think that was Kisui acting dumb lol, I’d have done the same thing were I in command. No way I’m sitting in KokuYou Hills when a guy known for butchering women and children is heading for my nearly unprotected home city lol.

Kanki’s victory over Kochou, I’m not sure Kochou really did anything wrong there. Kochou’s own men overlooked Kanki hiding his men among the battlefield, that’s not Kochou’s fault, and Kochou reinforcing his right flank was the correct choice when he lost Eikyuu.

Riboku in Northern Zhao, yeah Kanki played hardcore mind games with this man lmfao.

@Owl Ki

Bro if Hara kept Kanki alive as an enemy you would have straight up dropped this series lol.
Nah, Kanki is ultimately just one character in a cast of hundreds. Hell, it is not even Kanki himself that I dislike just more so how other characters interact with him. If they all didn't prostrate themselves before him, I wouldn't have so much of a problem but when even Riboku wants to praise Kanki to high heaven despite the latter losing nearly his entire army then it just gets rather silly.

Agreed on the Kanki post.

Disagreed on this, Kyoukai fits in perfectly fine in a manga where Houken, Zenou, Rankai exist. All of whom are far bigger anomalies than Kyoukai. Or even going with Renpa & Ouki, Kyoukai isn't much. I think you guys just overrate how strong Kyoukai actually is, she's not even top 10 for me where as y'all hold her in top 5 iirc.

Agree to disagree on Kyoukai. Lol.

https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/best-written-kingdom-characters.23592/

This thread has all my reasons (and other peoples' reasons) why Kyoukai is criticised.... On Worst Gen anyway. Outside of Worst Gen, she is adored. I cannot deny her that.

For sure bruhz.

Yea I viewed your guys' posts in that thread before, and some people's in this thread too, been using them as notes for my essay. I didn't really find any flaws in her as a character from pure writing point of view so far. I'll probably finish up my essay on her in week or two after Shoubunkun and etc's, will see how it goes.
