Exactly! Shunsui was laid back in demeanor but deadly serious about murdering Starrk the entire time. Starrk never wanted to fight and kept looking for ways out of doing it or killing the captains/Vizards. Plus, he took a surprise attack to the chest. Ulquiorra even stressed how fucked he'd be if his internal organs were damaged and Starrk fought well after that.

Bleach depresses me. As dragged out as half those chapters were, they were awesome, butI can't bring myself to reread because the ending was complete shit. I've never watched the anime, and honestly I might if the anime fixes the final arc when it airs

Fingers crossed they add a lot of filler. I like the final arc but it could use a fresh coat of paint, especially the last phase of the arc when they're in Reio's palace.

his persona certainly didnt make me feel like he was particularly strong
the hype built around him was worse than byakuya or kenpachi
I was just suprised at how strong he turned out to be.

Seriously, best thing is if Kubo gave a ton of pointers to what actually happened to the directors. There were still plenty of battles to be had and hopefully they remove the offscreening that started around there.

Maybe she will resurface and her revelations will be the SHs’ "reward" after freeing Wano from Kaido and Orochi’s yoke. Toki dropping some mind blowing infos when everyone chills in a house during rest time after the war, I can definitely see that happen.
