Speculations The other admirals are probably getting beaten by side characters

Imo Fuji should be someone who recognizes that the WG is bad, but finds the crooked order imposed by then preferable to the chaos that would ensue if pirates could run around unchecked (remember that like 99% of pirates are terrible people). Fuji should be a “improve from within” type rather than a “tear it down and replace it” type. Fuji being basically an undercover Rev would be such boring and generic writing.

People also seem to have this headcanon that Luffy is gonna reveal some unspeakable evil that the WG did during the Void Century, and it’s gonna be so repulsive to Fuji that he’s compelled to abandon the Marines. Fuji has literally seen the Celestial Dragons beat, torture, and probably rape their slaves. He’s seen the CDs be the worst people imaginable, and that’s not enough to make him abandon the WG. It would make Fuji look really bad if that’s not enough to make him want to abolish the WG, but Imu being a meanie to the Ancient Kingdom is enough
I really dont see Fuji fighting strawhats seriously. He is just a good guy like Coby and Smoker, he has a higher chance of fighting Greenbull in the final war.

Ok?
-Sabo said he bears no ill will towards the BB pirates for what happened to Ace
-on mutiple occasions stated that their enemies are the Celestial Dragons and declared war on them
-Holy Knights stated by Dragon to be a giant obstacle to getting the Nobles
-Luffy scar ached hearing Akainu's name
-Oda said scars aching shows fated enemies like Shanks and BB(we also saw this with Kaido and Oden).
-Akainu killed Ace infront of Luffy and almost made him give up piracy

Way more narrative stakes for Luffy vs Akainu. Sabo is more about the WG itself.

Reasons Sabo has to fight Akainu:

- Killed his brother

- Prove Fire is more powerful than Magma

Reasons Luffy has to fight Akainu:

- Killed his brother in front of him

- The only character to ever successfully break his will

- Gave him a scar that still aches to this day (ignored Blackbeard but reacted to Akainu being mentioned)

Irrelevant because of this panel
-on mutiple occasions stated that their enemies are the Celestial Dragons and declared war on them
And it's also shown that the Admirals literally act as the bodyguards and enforcers of the Celestial Dragons, we saw this most recently with Saturn, so Sabo's ultimate goal which is to take down the Celestial Dragons and Gorosei pretty much requires him to go through the Admirals.

-Holy Knights stated by Dragon to be a giant obstacle to getting the Nobles
This invalidates nothing, the Holy Knights can be a giant obstacle and Sabo can still fight Akainu, they're not mutually exclusive.
-Luffy scar ached hearing Akainu's name
The scar thing is pretty much the only argument in favor of Luffy over Sabo, otherwise they have pretty much the exact same arguments, except Sabo's goal practically requires him to go through the Admirals.
-Oda said scars aching shows fated enemies like Shanks and BB(we also saw this with Kaido and Oden).
But this isn't an automatic thing, Whitebeard was scarred by Roger and yet they were more friends than enemies and Zoro scarred Kaido which amounts to nothing, they're not sworn enemies, of course there are multiple other examples but the point is clear.
-Akainu killed Ace infront of Luffy and almost made him give up piracy
Akainu killing Ace applies to Sabo in the exact same way, more so actually now that Sabo has taken Ace's fruit and seemingly his will as well.
Way more narrative stakes for Luffy vs Akainu. Sabo is more about the WG itself.
Not really, there are fair arguments for both of them, Sabo has the Mera and has seemingly inherited Ace's will, so in a way Sabo defeating Akainu is kinda like Ace defeating Akainu, and there's also the thematic matchup of fire vs magma which sets Sabo up as the underdog given the Mera's inherent inferiority to the Magu.

Given how Luffy is set up to 1v1 Kizaru, this basically shuts down the notion that the admirals will be main villains in any other arc.

Luffy will surpass the admirals in egghead. Out of all the admirals, Kizaru has the best DF. It’s even better than Akainu’s magma fruit. While Akainu is likely stronger due to haki, I just don’t think it’s to the point to where he can actually be an arc villain.

This means that in all likelihood, the other admirals are falling to side characters. Probably:
  • Sabo vs Akainu
  • Kid vs GB
  • Law vs Fujitora
I think GB and Fuji could fall before the final war. But Akainu will likely be Sabo’s EoS matchup.
I agree with the match up. Even without powerscaling, I always thought the match up that way especially when learning that Sabo was able to escape at reverie.

Akainu as final villain won't work as Luffy is destined to beat whoever is sitting on the throne. Him as main villain on a separate arc won't work either, as there is no reason for SHs to fight the marines.

Kidd's too weak to ever defeat a top tier 1v1
Defeated Smoothie 1 v 1
What W does Law have?

I think Holy knights are all Yonko 2nd Commander tier
Except Figarland who is Zoro level

There arent enough Admirals for everyone.

We have:
- Akainu,Kizaru,Ryo,Fuji,Aokiji(?)
- Luffy,Zoro,Sanji,Coby,Law,Kid,Sabo

Luffy has to defeat one at least.
We can leave Zoro out if you like cuz he has Mihawk.
Sanji has to defeat one or else he'll be a fraud.
Coby/Kuzan has been set up (unfortunately).

We have 1 Admiral (two if you add Aokiji) for 3 people (four if you add Zoro).
