Ace was on board on WB 's boat for what, 1 or 2 years? And he never wonder hmm to whom this captain of the 2nd division used to belong? And was Oden that much of a secret that NO ONE ever told him "hey did you know that there was a very cool guy from Wano that used to be our 2nd division's commander? Well he was a nobody anyway"

Ok, let's assume Ace heard from some of the original WB crew that the former captain of 2nd division was someone called Oden from Wano.... so what? For starter, it doesn't mean he heard that before traveling himself to Wano...

I honestly dont remember well about that part of Oden flashback so please correct me if I'm wrong : Was it canonically shown that the WB pirates knew anything about Oden after he left with Roger, after Roger's death, that he even had 2 kids, that he went back to Wano?

Even if they did know, Oden was doing just fine for 5 years from that ridiculous promise with Orochi and Kaido... until he snapped and tried to attack Kaido. Now, we saw multiple times that Wano is a close country and Kaido is extra careful about any info going in or out.

Also don't forget : before the recent rise of BB it's pretty much clear that the yonkou didn't really attack each other and kinda enjoyed the status quo.... Even if it may have been common knowledge that Kaido was controlling Wano from the shadows, you think the WB pirates would try to investigate anything? With all the underworld shit that was going on and involvement of the likes of Donflamingo and all? (pre-time skip!)

So.. yea, personally i'm ok with Oda saying former WB pirates didn't know what was the situation

Zoro not only did he tanked it he was thinking how the attack came whilst he was being hit and he casually blocks an attack then, saves Luffy while fending off all the attacks

First of all: It still looks like a very fun chapter.

But we have to talk about the elephant in the room again:

"Denjiro's group meets Sasaki on his way. It seems that Sasaki knows Denjiro (he even seems to admire him) so they speak in a friendly way. In a moment of carelessness of Sasaki, Denjiro puts handcuffs on him (maybe from Kairoseki) and then they tie him with chains."

I may add, that the spoiler pics also show Denjiro showing off his Kozuki tattoo, so it's not like he's trying to deceive Sasaki into thinking Orochi has turned against Kaido. He literally just chains Sasaki up and reveals to him, that the alliance is here.

Come on Oda ...

At this point we're not expecting you to go really dark, like some other great mangas, but at least a bit of mature content wouldn't hurt. Right now it's a fun read, but there is zero sense of danger. Like for real, does anyone feel scared for an alliance member? Not even Chopper and Usopp are in a scary situation, since their BM encounter has turned into a gag scene.

That's a shame.

Another elephant in the room is the fact that Whitebeard and his crew didn't know about Kaido's invasion of Wano and killing of Oden. This is just lazy and convenient writing. There is no way that Whitebeard wouldn't have heard word about what happened to Wano or at least realized that Kaido may have killed Oden if he was residing in Wano for so long.

What overpowering? Drake only hit Sanji with a tail and landed a hit because Sanji has never fought against zoan who uses his/her tail.

Sanji looked away implies Drake is not a threat to him lol.

Drake stopped Killer and Urouge attack back in Sabaody that's a good portrayal imo. It just hypes Law even more since Oda put him with Luffy and Kidd.

So Jozu looking away means he didnt view Kuzan as a threat

Law didn't oneshot Vergo, go reread the fight... He used counter shock before on him
Plus, Smoker has been fighting him for quite a while and dealt some good blows
Same for Sanji

By the time Law did his final attack, it was basically an ALL OUT ATTACK for both, Vergo and Law, this is Oda wrapping up the fight of Vergo, and not intended to say "One shot"... cause again, Law did counter shock, a main move and said "it's no use"
That doesn't look to me like a one shot, unless you will just use the notion of "that final attack would have ended Vergo regardless"

In that same notion, I can also say:
Luffy finised Doffy with one attack
Luffy finished Cracker in One attack
Luffy finished Lucci in ONE ATTACK (Jet Gatling)
Luffy finished Moria in one attack
Luffy finished all his opponnets with one attack, where if he used it at beginning, he would have won regardless

That's the same fucking thing you ar doing to Vergo right now, you are ignoring ALL the fight that has been going and damage Vergo was getting from all three (Sanji's 2-3 hits - Smoker MANY HITS - Law's counter shock) and you're just reflecting on the final attack, which is basically both going all out trying to finish the fight...

Again, if you'll use that logic, I can use that WITH EVERY FIGHT IN ONE PIECE.... After this arc is finished, I will be also able to say, Luffy oneshotted Kaido, cause the last attack is what matters... LOL DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME

He did after he got his heart back and its as you say it was of no use so it didnt really had an effect
So after he got his heart back and was in full fighting shape with just one swing of his sword he cut him even though Vergo used full body haki and his bamboo stick

you cant say that Luffy and Doffy had an countinous fight while Law and Vergo didnt have what you dont see is that Luffys final attack happend after a series of clash which had an serious imapact on Doflamingo the same cant be said about Law vs Vergo because of 2 attacks
grave mistake you cant see the difference between series of clashes and then the finish or the finishing attack the start
just because Smoker vs Vergo doesnt mean its the same as fights you listed there

even if you go by your logic Law vs Smoker , Law got an beating that make him unconscious if all Law was much more weakend than Vergo despite that he won with one strike


so by your logic Laws victory is even more amazing and by my logic a series of clash didnt happen means they were not even close

The fact that Sasaki seems to have some sort of respect and admiration to Denjiro hypes Denjiro a lot honestly on top of being hyped as one of the strong scabbards already

This is the second time a Toppi Roppo looks to Denjiro in a good way:
- First, Pageone calling him "Boss Kyoshiro while aiming to deliver Soba mask body to him"

- Second, Sasaki who is deemed as one of the top two Toppi Toppo

So, it's not just the bottom of the toppi Roppo who looks at Denjiro in good way, even one of top two is the same


Makes you get the Jinbe vibe/type of respect from Ministers/commanders of BMPs, where some of them used to call him "boss/Oyabun"

Same way when "Ace" called him boss Jinbe haha during Impel Down, with WBP connection

I'm not talking about rank, I'm just talking about some type of respect to a figure, where Denjiro truly acquired lots of respect from enemy side furing his stay as a spy among them

Sanji wasn't serious against Drake. It was clear when later Sanji looked away from Drake who was completely wanted to defeat Sanji. If Sanji's CoO is bad then how come Drake cannot hit Sanji who looked away from Drake?
