Ashura isn't only one move. Bro don't speak on things you don't know. Zoro wiped away Kaku attack with Ashura and then he ran to him and blitz him. Zoro was blocking All of Kaido attacks in Adhura and then blitz him.

and then was out of it.
ANd vs Kaku he was nearly dead when he was able to use it .
Ashura is weird but he can only throw 1 named attack with it so far.
And if zoro have to use ashura on lucci this make him stronger then king.

I honestly am surprised we get a "Luffy vs Kizaru" chapter before we get "Zoro vs Lucci" chapter.

Lucci said previously that as long as he and Kizaru are around, the SHs can't escape. This means one of them has to be taken down for the SHs to escape, and Lucci is far easier to beat than Kizaru is.

Also, I'm not trying to push an agenda here, but Zoro also won against Braham, Ryuma, Monet, Hawkins, Killer and Apoo without his bandana on. So, while I got your point, donning the bandana does not really equate with fighting his arc opponent. and, IIRC, during the battle royal with Ohm, he did not don the bandana until he was preparing his final attack, so maybe with Lucci it's the same with all these examples.

The thing is the construct of vs chapters broke down last arc. Luffy got one vs. Kaido 10 chapters into Wano then never got it again after everyone.

At this point everyone can get Vs. Chapters and win, then Luffy will just get undesignated chapters after until he wins.

Marineford is extremely unreliable.

Admirals being so damn nerfed that they have difficulties against mere commanders. Now we see how strong Kizaru really is, without showing awakening and whilst being conflicted on his emotions (this is a great deal if Kizaru has no good composure). Then we have Kuzan who punches as hard as Old Garp, without showing awakening as well.

Even without awakening they were massively restricted.

We knew Admirals were above YCs at MF

The only top tier who didn't show superiority was Mihawk the fraud

I don't get why Oda doesn't do consecutive vs battle chapters. It would help his pacing so much. He could have Luffy defeat Kizaru in 5 chapters and nobody would complain if it shows their full abilities. Stretching his battles over 30+ chapters is just horrible and some editor needs to tell him it's shit.

Swordsman failed 20 years ago, failed now and had to resort to someone with a strong punch to deal with Kaido.

Oda is slowly removing the toon force that affects opponents and only keep it to Luffy which is a great move. He learnt some lessons from the Kaido fight.

the others are still affected. kizaru isn't like the other characters. he's deadpan funny, not cartoon funny. it's like a fight between bugs bunny and leslie nielsen.
