That doesn’t make him Nika. Just like Naruto isn’t Ashura

Luffy is not the Nika they worship and never will be. He’s his own person who happens to have been given powers by Nika.

This doesn't answer my point. I never said Bonney seeing Luffy as Nika. I said bonney seeing luffy as the person that has the strength to liberate everyone.

How is that functionally different from Jinbei believing Luffy has the ability to put Fishman Island under his protection?
It’s literally completely different because Bonneys dream doesn’t connect to Luffys.

That’s the single thing that connects every straw hat is their dreams connect to Luffys becoming King of the Pirate so all of them work together to help luffy do that. One member not caring if Luffy becomes king of the pirates and would rather luffy focus solely on being some liberator completely throws off the dynamic when again a character like that exists named Dragon.

I'd believe this somewhat if not for the fact that Luffy's dream of becoming the Pirate King doesn't exactly impact Brooke nor Chopper's dreams. Reuniting with Laboon and curing every disease don't, in any meaningful way, tie into becoming the Pirate King. One could argue Zoro and Usopp's dreams don't correlate to the Pirate King either, but at least those dreams have relevancy when it comes to conflict which becoming the Pirate King actively draws.

Faith in Luffy is the tying point of the Strawhats, not their dreams being accomplished by his dream being accomplished.

Luffys dream of being the king of the pirates impacts all of them:
1. Zoro - Zoro believes that helping luffy will make him strong enough to become the WSS. He basically says as such in Baratie once he realized how big the world truly was and how strong people outside the east blue is
2. Nami - Can’t draw a map of the world if she never sees Raftel
3. Usopp - Usopps dream is to travel the world and become a brave warrior of the sea. He knows helping luffy become the king of the pirates will help him with both
4. Sanji - Needs to search the world for the All Blue
5. Chopper - Needs to search the world for a clue to a cure for all ills, just got reaffirmed that raftel is likely where chopper will find this due to raftel being connected to an ancient kingdom with advanced medical science
6. Robin - Rio Poneglyphs on Raftel
7. Franky - Can’t sail around the world without going to raftel
8. Brook - Brook dreams of circumnavigating the globe then returning to laboon. Needs to pass raftel
9. Jinbe - Explained earlier

All of their dreams relate to luffy traveling the world and helping him become king of the pirates. No new nakamas dream is not going to relate to Luffy becoming king of the pirates.

What does bonney want? The flashbacks have always been about Kuma's desires. It seems likely kuma might join, but unless I hear Bonney's desires, I can't speculate with her.

Except we know that circumventing the globe isn't needed to reach Laboon, we have several pirates, including Shanks who hasn't reached Raftel that reached places that would lead them back to Laboon.

I already mentioned that Zoro and Usopp's are tangential, but could arrive at their points just by proximity to Luffy

Also we know that being with the Pirate King doesn't necessitate one learning how to cure all, given that Crocus never managed it and Roger was actually sick and dying.

Hell, Chopper didn't even join because of Luffy's dream. Chopper joined cause of Hiriluk's love of Pirates and because luffy treated him like a friend.

she wanted to see world with her dad

also bonney for 1-2 years has been with her dad friends, later after black beard, so 1 year prob by herself on the run as a kid.

she shown alone as seen on Mg. no one there for her. showing she been outsmarting most adults and traveling by herself as a kid. showing she resourceful. (kuma prob have a heart attack once finding out)

i don't see oda separating bonney from her father(who she wants the most) and also kuma who panic mode looking for bonney(his baby daughter)

also there still the part if her disease was cured or not, next chapter!?

Brook himself said that he was only going to return after having circled all the way around the grand line so yes that directly involves raftel.

And Chopper is looking to find a cure for all ails, and as he’s Traveling he’s been learning more medical science recently the mink medicine and Birdy kingdom before that. Choppers dream is directly connected to luffy become king of the pirates as raftel has futuristic medical science

The last point is no less hindsight reasoning than Logiko's "Usopp's shining nakama moment was n dressrosa", cause before egghead, we'd no way of knowing what Raftel had provided and what we did know of the previous Pirate king is that his doctor couldn't cure him.

Chopper joined two arcs before Robin and the poneglyphs showed up as players and the ancient Kingdom's first reference was six arcs later.

We knew that Choppers dream involved learning secrets from around the world. It’s always connected to the journey, and now it connects to the destination

But that's not why Chopper joined. Chopper joined cause he thought it'd be fun to go with luffy. He never even heard luffy's dream during his arc. Luffy does not once mention being king of the pirates during Drum Island.

Chopper wished to join because Luffy said he was a friend to Chopper and Chopper believed in Hiriluk's faith in Pirates. You can't reshape Chopper's reasons for joining

Zoro and Usopp‘s dreams have nothing to do with Luffy’s. Mihawk and Yasopp have already achieved them and neither have been associated with the Pirate King.

As characters, they have decided that it is only through following Luffy on his journey that they will achieve their dream, but that doesn’t change the fact that there is absolutely nothing actually connecting being the World’s Strongest Swordsman or a brave man of the seas to the island of Laugh Tale.

Nami, Robin, Franky and Brook are explicitly linked to going to Laugh Tale, Sanji and Chopper are seeking something mythical and non-existent that almost certainly will link to it.

Jinbei’s dream is a bit unique, it does not on the face of it need a trip to Laugh Tale to achieve- could be done by diplomacy, by war or both- but is almost certainly going to need the truth of Laugh Tale to act as a spark for it.

Zoro and Usopp though, nothing to do with the place. It’s a personal desire of bettering themselves. It can be done without anything to do with Laugh Tale, as Mihawk and Yasopp have shown.

I don’t think Bonney will join. But, and this goes for any character, her dream does not need to somehow link with Luffy being the PK. The character has to decide that they will help make Luffy the PK, they can say I don’t think I can do this without helping Luffy on his way, but that dream itself does not need to link to the island of Laugh Tale, because Zoro and Usopp’s don’t.

And for Bonney’s dream in particular, if it does turn out to be something to do with Nika, through Kuma, then quite obviously Luffy is the Nika figure who will achieve it. Because Nika is dead, and has been for centuries. She can’t meet him. She can meet Luffy though, and Luffy will liberate the world. Luffy’s been liberating people and islands since Chapter 2 where he freed Coby from Alvida. It’s kind of his thing. To say a dream about Nika doesn’t have anything to do with Laugh Tale, but Zoro’s does, is bonkers.

I would also argue that Brook's dream doesn't require laugh tale, it only requires lodestar. You don't need to visit laughtale to get back to reverse mountain.

Yep.

If the "destroy the Red Line" theory is real, though, then Brook would want to help destroy the Red Line, so that the whales could reunite.

That way, Brook can reunite Laboon not just with himself, but Laboon's OG whale pack.

Support Mage.

One Piece makes more sense if you look at it like an RPG, and give the characters actual classes.

This makes sense since One Piece's original villains, the Shichibukai, were modeled after an old RPG Oda played as a kid. On some levels, One Piece is an RPG in Manga format.

Luffy = Monk/Hero (hence Luffy being a saint/savior/God. Monk-ey D. Luffy)
Zoro = Swordsman/Warrior
Nami = Mage/Thief (elemental/weather based)
Usopp = Ranger/Bard (storyteller)
Sanji = Monk/Cleric (foot based combat, heals through food)
Chopper = Cleric/Warrior
Robin = Mage/Ranger (transmutation based, can use powers to spy and attack from long range)
Franky = Sailor/Mechanic
Brook = Bard/Swordsman
Jinbei = Warrior/Sailor

Vivi = Diplomat/Warrior
Karoo = Beast/Vehicle
Yamato = Warrior/Hero
Carrot = Scout/Warrior
Tama = Beast Tamer/Ninja
Momo = Beast/Warrior

Boney would be a Mage/Warrior who fights, but also enchants her allies with aging buffs and attacks the enemy with ageing debuffs.
I could see Yamato as support, like rearguard.
