In WCI, Luffy defeated BM’s commanders, wrecked havoc in her territory, and survived. This was said to be a monumental event as it was the first time in decades when BM has been embarrassed in such a way.
Same thing with Egghead. It will be the first time in centuries that a gorosei has been embarrassed. Yet Saturn shouldn’t be 1v1ed. Just like Jack in Zou or BM in WCI.

the goal of the arc has already been stated: escape to elbaf.
Luffy’s fight has already been set up: Kizaru
Saturn exists so that there can still be a force of tension that causes the SHs to go to elbaf. If the SHs don’t need to flee, there’s tbh no reason to go to elbaf as elbaf and egghead are basically in parallel locations in the NW(Luffy wouldn’t be progressing in the grand line by going to elbaf)

If one Gorosei gets beaten by a halfdead, cyborg Warlord, you can toss all other remaining 4 Gorosei into the trash bin.
Do you really think Oda would treat the most powerful rulers, excluding Imu, in the world like that?

I think regardless of what Kuma does, Saturn has been shown he can heal wounds, so really any outcome doesnt matter necessarily, unless Oda somhow makes Kuma fully fight and defeat Saturn, which is extremely unlikely

He’ll get smacked around. First by Kuma, then by the giant robot, then probably by the mother flame reactor. He’ll “lose” in trying to kill vegapunk. But he won’t be defeated till EoS

You think Saturn would be able to heal from getting his head blown up? That self destruct button and Kuma may lead to kuma ending this fight like a bomb collar CDs put on their slaves

Considering his demonic nature and healing a sword wound to the neck/chest, yes I wouldn't put it behind Oda to have Saturn be able to recover from some monstrous shit like his face being blown off
