There are real problems out there and these guys are wasting their energy on non existing issues. The opposing side is not much better at times tho. Intentional provocation only divides the people more and doesn't promote tolerance.

whole point of having words and definitions is to have an universal understanding, language it’s pointless without it.

People are not living, abandonned, oppressed, killed, killing themself because other are against their identity, so I'm sorry but yes. It's important.

Indeed. Definition are by essence restrictive. They are also made generally by people who don't understand the subject or linguistic. But they are not necessarily bad, for example the definition of meritocracy here is good, its just no exhaustive and need to be developped more.

Definition are the surface Einstein. If you keep your knowledge to the surface level you won't understand things. That's why you don't understand gender and that's why you don't seem to understand meritocracy either.

I do understand gender and am still one of the few alongside you that actually makes the distinction. Just not my problem that man and woman are based on sex as of now.

And yet you use the term man to designate a trans women and refuse to understand that BOTH dictionnaries definition AND encyclopedic+scientific definition are refuting this usage. So no, you don't understand gender.

Many words actually have opposite meanings, such as love and peace.
To some love = unconditional respect and support
To others love = overbearing possessiveness and stalking
To others love = forcing a particular lifestyle/belief on others "for their own good"

To some people peace = accepting each other's differences and trying to live amicably
To others peace = making everyone bow to you if they don't want to be fought into submission



Hence Christianity is the religion of love, Islam the religion of peace but it's pretty much interchangeable.


And don't get me started on Western Harmony vs East Asian harmony.

Nah, transwomen just are men, i.e. adult human males.

And as i mentioned couple posts ago: if the definition will eventually be the one you are pushing, i will stick to using male/female exclusively.
