Having a different geography that was altered and wiping out the bulk of the life on the planet are two different things.
We have been directly told that ancient weapons can reshape the world, and we also knew they were used in the void century. Tons of people dying as a byproduct is also not very surprising considering the current government casually performs genocide all the time.

So to me this more of a "ahhhh that makes sense" reveal than a "HOLY SHIT NO WAY" reveal.

Bummed out if no aliens, Prof. Clover's planet diagram lives rent free in my head.

Not a single prediction that humanity was brought to the brink of extinction, and you're over preteneding like "it was obvious". Gtfoh out with that.

Yet, you can't reach the conclusion that Aliens most likely will still play a major role in the plot line regarding a 1000 year old Kingdom that was so advanced, that even a scientific genius who is 500 years ahead of his time, can't t replicate thier tech.... Absolutely bonkers...

Where does it say humanity was on the brink of extinction?

I mean I really hope so or I'm gonna be immensely disappointed.

If Joyboy didn't die when he did, and the war continued for a few more years, you don't think the places that survived wouldn't have met the same fate? They damn near destroyed most of the World. A few more years of that, and the rest would have gone with it.

The Ancient Kingdom is definitely going to be related to Aliens. Right now we are just getting the aftermath of the war. There is still so much more to explore within those 100 years.

Alien stuff could definitely revive my interest.

But right now I'm actually more interested in seeing the ramifications of VP's message on the current world than I am in the void century lore itself, which is actually surprising to eme.

Nah he's just saying mass human casualties doesn't matter

Because humans will breed faster in no time
Past experience.

There's no space for all people who lived on continents to climb and live at the top of them, naturally they would die, or straight up get killed on the process when the weapons were uses, like with Lulusia.

They don't care how many people they kill, they kill them for sports even.
