I don't know how Oda expects this manga to end within 10 years if he's just going to pile up more questions every time he reveals 1/10th of a lore detail.

I don't think it's going to be that complicated to explain the devil fruit origin when we already know that. You just need something that can make dreams real. Imo we already have that: Nika can be the origin of the devil fruits, making people's dreams come true.

I was worried at the start of the final saga that Oda was going to have to seriously compromise on wrapping up all the loose ends too, but as time has gone on I'm starting to think he'll manage it. It started with Shakky being revealed as a former Queen on Amazon Lily in 1059 - he didn't need to come back to that - and now with about 4 chapters straight of every character he's ever drawn reacting to the news, I don't think the guy is planning to leave behind anything. It does mean it's going to have to be really packed from here on out though.
