Character Discussion Zoro is not the fighter of the crew he is the swordsman

#6
It's not about "everyone in the crew equally fights". Nobody cares about Franky's 2 panel fight with a VA.

Zoro is the only other Strawhat not named Luffy whose fights and strength showings Oda actually gives a shit about. In every arc Zoro's in, he will give Zoro a notable fight and he will make Zoro look good.

No other Strawhat has that privilege but Luffy, and Oda's even willing to make Zoro look better than Luffy at times. This is because he's more willing to have Luffy look terrible throughout the arc, as by the end he'll look fantastic.

Smh

Everyone has a role in the SH crew.

Zoro has role of "fighter" - and swordmanship is the technique he use to fight.

No other crew member bar Luffy has primary role of being a fighter.
Zoro’s role is the swords man who is also a fighter like everyone in the crew, sanji fights, jimbe fights, franky fights, luffy’s fights everyone fights

That is the problem luffy fights more than zoro so it makes no sense for zoro to called the fighter of the crew if he is not the strongest nor does he fight the most.

Imagine if Luffy did most of the cooking will you still consider sanji the cook of the crew.

To be the “something” of the crew you must be better than Luffy at that skill that is why Luffy said he can’t use a sword in arling park not I can’t fight

Did you read my post or not.
Whats the use for a swordman outside of a fight?
:brootea:
Do Sanji call Zoro up when he wants to cut a piece of bread? Do they call Zoro up everytime they need to maintain the grass and Nami's trees branches?
:jackcopium:
I'll tell you what Zoro's job it, to hunt down Luffy's enemies and act as Luffy's bodyguard.

Swordsmen are fighters too, just a subclass of them. So it's the same shit either way as far as I am concerned.
They are not the same swordsmanship is a form of fighting not the other way around.
Unless you want zoro to be the only straw hat that Luffy is better than in their job Zoro is the swordsman of the crew.
The crew has no specific fighter, everyone fights

@Tai long what exactly do you think having the role "swordsman" in the crew means?
What exactly do you think the role of sniper means?

Or do you think swordsmanship is the only form of combat

That's exactly what Zoro's role is in the crew whether we like it or not. He's their Number 2, and is supposed to be second to their captain at everything. Zoro has a different role than the rest of the crew. He's their semi-captain whether it's official or not. That's why his role is not well defined like others.

Zoro is not the semi captain. The shs doesn’t have a semi captain, everyone is equal.
Yes zoro is the second strongest but that doesn’t make him vice captain, until luffy says it, the shs have no hierarchy

SHs don't have the conventional roles well defined, but they sure have a pattern. Zoro doesn't have the authority of a vice-captain, but he definitely shoulders the responsibilities of one. TB already established it pretty well.
