@Toby D. Dog @Ravagerblade how bad is the cost of living in the USA?
It’s pretty bad. If I wasn’t incredibly lucky to own property in NYC (where I currently live) me and my wife wouldn’t be able to afford rent in Manhattan or Brooklyn if you look at our current salary. I am not working rn since I’m doing my masters full time so our income has decreased considerably. Still, we make more than 100K a year, the housing crisis here is real. A lot of demand, a lot of supply, artificially inflated rent prices. A story came out the other day showing how landlords in Arizona are engaging in price-fixing which is incredibly ilegal. Here’s the full story:

P.S: ravager wouldn’t know. He’s massively ignorant when it comes to actual policy and economics.

2.5k average rent price is insane. 6.5k is more than an average doctor makes in Brazil. Its crazy how expensive the US is.

It takes around $150k a year to live comfortably in the US.
Average US income is $40k a year.
Average rent $1800-$2100 a month
Average home $500k

There are programs to assist those who make low income but the instant you go above the minimum, you lose out on all of it and will be left worse off than before.

My point is just that a lot of the major points of the modern conflict come from the Nakba. That and the 6 day war.

Honestly even after the nakba, I think there was still an opportunity for the conflict to end. But then Israel occupied Gaza and the West bank
It won’t end, if they had their way they wouldn’t stop at annexing Gaza and the West Bank, they would also look towards annexing Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, parts of Saudi and Iraq in their ideal pursuit towards greater Israel. Now they are forced to settle with Gaza and the West Bank but even that is proving to be a big problem. In the meantime they’ve completely lost any semblance of public support and their attempts at good PR have been an absolute disaster. Their recent normalization with some of the neighboring Arab states have been met with pressure by the local populace in those respective states and at this point it’s only a matter of time until those normalization agreements are reversed under the weight of public pressure when these buffoons continue the senseless killing of innocent civilians.

Based on what this 150k a year to live comfortably and what is comfortably for you?

Just a small correction of the average US data that I found it.

"The Takeaway. The average annual average salary in the U.S. is $63,795. The median annual salary, which is often less skewed by outlying numbers, is $59,384. It's worth noting that average and median salaries vary quite a bit by state."

https://www.sofi.com/learn/content/average-salary-in-us/

"The average rent in the United States is $1,517/month. This is 0.6% higher than this time last year."

https://www.apartments.com/rent-mar...$1,517/month,Dakota, Vermont, and Mississippi.

"Average home price in the United States: $420,800. The median home sales price is $420,800 as of the first quarter of 2024. That's a 28% increase from the first quarter of 2020, when the median was $329,000. MEDIAN SALES PRICE OF HOMES IN THE U.S."

https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/res....&text=MEDIAN SALES PRICE OF HOMES IN THE U.S.

Not trying to debunking you with that but showing to others data that I found in case they may doubt it. And I also found this:

"On average, an individual needs $96,500 for sustainable comfort in a major U.S. city. This includes being able to pay off debt and invest for the future."

https://smartasset.com/data-studies/salary-needed-live-comfortably-2024

And of course talking about US as a whole is somewhat vague since prices and salaries are different in each place.

"Massachusetts is the state with the highest annual income of $76,600. This salary is significantly more than the national average salary of $63,795."

https://www.sofi.com/learn/content/average-salary-in-us/

"Median annual income in the U.S. in 2023

Mississippi has the lowest-earning population in the U.S. with a median annual wage of just $37,500, according to the BLS."

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/06/us-... lowest-earning,$37,500, according to the BLS.

A great analysis in a nutshell as to what type of leader Milei has been.

In its current iteration, capitalism is rigged in favor of those who are already at the top. Modern capitalism is more akin to what’s been described as corporate socialism.
The term that is often used around here is Metacapitalism: big ass corporations paying politicians to create bureaucracy and taxes to kill of the competition and solidify their monopolies.
There is a solution, but guys like you prefer to blame leftists.
Except, that you want to give more power to the PEOPLE THAT CREATED THIS PROBLEM in the first place.

The irony.

You, living in a capitalist and meritocratic society, thinking that all the problems of the world happened because of socialism.

This is why guys like you are constantly facing a paradox and not understanding how to make society better.

You are literally screaming at those who are trying to help you.

Me: Living in fake capitalist society. Taxation and bureaucracy are ridiculously high. Everything is overpriced due to taxation, inflation and stupid laws. Public services are bad and don't work. Latin America is proof that socialism sucks.
