Being a fire dragon doesn't mean anything really
Such a fearsome warrior like Gaimou makes a great representative of the military might of Wei and thus was made a fire dragon
Being a Great General means achieving massive victories for your state, against other Generals and Great Generals
Gaimou wasn’t just a Great General, he was a named Great General (IE, Fire Dragon). How can you say being named a Great General of a major state doesn’t mean anything lmfao…when Kyou’En never became a Great General of Zhao at all.
That by itself does not mean that Gaimou led armies by the hundreds of thousands, and the Wei dragons never really reached fame so I don't know what sort of victories we are talking about here.
The Fire Dragons did reach fame:
Their legends didn’t carry into the current era because they ceased to exist long before the Q6 and Zhao3 solidified their legends, but these guys were known across all of China as heroes lol
Gaimou was portrayed as a monstrous warrior who enjoys drinking fucking and killing, without care for the any form of tactics or strategy
Again why are you so obsessed with tactics and strategy lmfao, we’ve seen plenty of Great Generals who don’t care much for tactics and strategy. A Great General isn’t someone who studies tactics and strategy, a Great General is someone who leads armies to victory by whatever methods possible. And this is what Gaimou did for Wei.
